Raging Conflict were formed in late 2006 when guitarist Jamie Fitzpatrick met with bassist Lar Newman to discuss plans for a ‘new project’. They played around with various ideas and after much deliberation, a sound and name for the band was forged and so came the birth of RAGING CONFLICT.
Simon Maples was soon recruited to take up the position of drummer. Ideas were spun and several songs had been written in a matter of months. Unfortunately, other commitments saw Maples leave the band, leaving Newman and Fitzpatrick to find a new drummer.
In March '07 Steven Hynes, a protégé of the infamous Jim Pepper, replaced Maples on drums. With his entry into the group, the bands energy and commitment soared and several new songs had been written and practised within weeks.
Mixing a hefty blend of hard hitting first wave thrash metal (Slayer), with the fast and energetic riffs of heavy metal in the style of Motorhead, Raging Conflict deliver a punishing onslaught of pounding metal that is sure to blow your speakers!
