One of the founder member of Raiders FM back in those swashbuckling pirate days, Jan pioneered shows dedicated to rare rock grooves from the past right up to the new bands of the day who were influenced by greats such as T Rex, The Who and many others. He interviewed some late 80's artists like Transvision Vamp, The Telescopes, Outskirts of Infinity and Danielle Dax. As a music historian, record dealer and collector his rock family tree approach is very relevant to today's rock scene. His informative and witty style always puts the music first and keeps you up to date on current values of vinyl and CDs at record fairs and auctions. Listen out for Jan's Rock Dimensions show on the last two Wednesdays of the month - not quite the 21st Century Boy but certainly different. Visit Jan's personal website, Dimension 7
Claire Mansfield's Aural Massage: 8pm
Claire Mansfield was one of the original Raiders FM presenters back in their outrageous pirate days. Claire worked in the media industry for twenty years and when she got bored with corporate life she co-founded one of the most influential rock pirates, Rock FM. She sung in several punk bands, notably with Paul and Robin Simon (Ultravox, Magazine, Thomas Dolby, Glen Matlock, now Ajanta Music). Still growing old disgracefully she re-joins Raiders in their internet incarnation, playing a truly gorgeous selection of glam, punk, New Romantic, metal and melodic rock on the first two Wednesdays of the month at 8pm. Miss her at your peril! Dare to visit her personal MySpace page, Claire M
