R'AIE XIII is a local Taiwanese band in Taipei.Their songs express the dark side in human's heart and are influenced by the disgracefulness of human behaviors. The band are trying to depict the realistic situation about sex,violence and other hideous elements through their tunes.
R'AIE XIII was formed in March , 2005. After been through series of interchanges with members, R'AIE XIII is Vocalist ZAN, Guitarists KEN and KAGE, Bassist SHuN, and Drummer LEI. They published six original compositions at their fist live show, ROAR IN DARKNESS on June 25th, 2005, followed by a short period of resting from October, 2005, to the beginning of 2006. However, soon after everything was settled down, R'AIE XIII was officially activated again at REBORN FROM HELL-LIVE on March 14th, 2006, and performed at annual Kenting Spring Scream Festival in April. R'AIE XIII's first EP, SIN IN BLOOD, was out in June, 2007, and performed at a series of live shows that were held in 2007 to the beginning of the 2008.
EP -SIN IN BLOOD- was a work that combined a great amount of efforts and time, and it was also being honorably awarded at the 9th Golden Vision Cultural Music Award. Through the lyrics and tunes of SIN IN BLOOD, R'AIE XIII expressed the desire of human lust by using violence, sex, and murdering as the core of the song. The song represents both rational sense of humanity and the natural sin that flows in human's veins as the rhythm of the song alters between softness and abrupt tumultuousness.
