Is it true that I can't find the book "Raila Odinga: An Enigma in Kenya Politics" anywhere? Not Barnes and Noble, Amazon. com...,
How can I lay my hands on this book? I had one but gave it to a friend who begged me for it, now I just want it for my library - somebody help?

You ARE A SERVANT LEADER

Servant Leadership

The Moratorium on Selfishness

In the perusal of the issues that exist in our communities today...I've discovered that there's an immediate need for a moratorium on selfishness. Over time ,…we've somehow.. Inconspicuously become less humanitarian and less compassionate…There's an immediate need for… a call to action.

This call to action requires the masses to be proficient in Servant Leadership. It requires that we expeditiously..become philanthropic creatures. There's a demand for love in our world, yet the supply seems..to be abating as each day goes by...(SEE BLOG)

Thanks for the great ability and the strong leadership that will never be overcome by the mwanamke who defeat you in thug and corruptly way.
They shoot and kill and torture because they cannot rule in any other way a people who reject them. They are reaching the end of the road and going downhill towards a great darkness, so they must take a lot of people with them, because they are selfish and greedy and afraid of the coming darkness..."

I'm happy to see that things are finally starting to move forward with the ridiculous power sharing deal, but I am concerned about the 370 Billion Shilling price tag. I wonder where this government will find the resources to actually help erradicate poverty and do for the people what they promised in the campaign. I wish it was just you in the top position Mr. Odinga, but even though you have to navigate through troubled waters please do not forget all of the people who you serve. I would send the same message to Kibaki but considering the contempt he showed all Kenyans this past December, I doubt he would hear me. You sir can be the hope of Kenya and its greatest leader yet, but only by remembering that it is the citizens of Kenya who finally deserve the wealth of this great nation.

"We have come to understand that uhuru -independence- is a matter of dealing with Poverty...we have to deal with Landlessness, combat Unemployment, give the Children Schools, and the People more Hospitals, push up Living Standards of the poor in a world where the gap between the rich countries and the poor is daily growing wider...
I do not imagine for a single moment that these formidable problems are easily solved...
A Kenya Government backed by Popular Enthusiasm and National Mobilization would have a chance of finding a way to Solve these problems."

Splitting Kenya will never be a solution to anything. Living together is the solution to all our problems. We're taking Kenya back at least 20 years. Think big ladies and gents, think of Kenya's future. And please........historu is meant to teach each one of us. Look at Rwanda and Zimbambwe and learn!!!!!!!!!!!!

The root the violence in Kenya needs to be determined-other than the '07 votes. We are all kenyans, and we should live as one people. Forget what tribe we are each from for a second and think of the future of our country and our people. I think this is an accumulation of hatreds that have been brewing over the years, and something need to be done to stop this!!!!!!
Kenya is losing Kshs.30billion every day. The exchange rate went up from Kshs. 62 to Kshs. 68 in 3 days, and now the average exchange rate is Kshs. 75. Do you know how many investors (both Kenyan and non-Kenyan) have post-poned their ideas? Do you realize how much we are hurting in all aspects of life? The world is watching and lets face it we need all the aid we can ge tto keep kenya going --but they just suspended some of our aid. Is this what we want for our country??
If the leaders of Kenya (both Kibaki and Raila and all the MPs) need to carefully calculate all the losses that we are incurring.
The people of Kenya also need to realize that the losses maily affect the mid and lower classes than it affects the upper class. How many rich people or leaders do you know that have been displaced from their million dollar homes? If this turns out to genocide, the leaders and the rich will leave the country immediately and leave the poor to fight for them.
Religious leaders need to stop taking sides on this!!!! They need to live what they have been teaching us all along. Stop playing games on God because He has power to do save and to do harm too.
I urge everyone to think big for Kenya. Pray that all goes well and remember your neighbor knows you better than that leader you're fighting over. Pray for peace.
KIBAKI, RAILA AND ALL THE MPS NEED TO STEP UP AND URGE KENYANS TO STOP KILLING EACH OTHER AND BURNING PROPERTY NOW!!!! PROVE THAT YOU ALL ARE REALLY OUR LEADERS AND YOU ALL ARE NOT IN THIS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.
GOD BLESS KENYA AND ALL ITS PEOPLE.

The brutal message coming out of the diplomatic flurry surrounding the aftermath of the disastrous Kenyan elections that has left hundreds dead and hundreds of thousands displaced is that the world has conspired to keep Raila Amolo Odinga from power.

What Junday Frazer, Desmond Tutu, Yoweri Museveni, AU's Kufuor and all those others you are watching on cable news want is a peaceful end to the power hijack that has been staged by Emilio Mwai Kibaki's backers, remnants of Moi's political and financial mafia, working in tandem with some multinational conglomerates. It is actually the money, stupid! Odinga and his new breed just don't seem good for global capital. Period. "He won, yes, but what about the shareholders?"

America's response, even beyond capital, is shaped by George Bush's war on terror, which puts Kenya in the middle of the African security strategy - a clearing house for suspected Al-Qaeda suspects collected from all over the horn of Africa . Kibaki has been unquestioningly useful in this regard, especially after Somalia . So why do we change him now? The types of comments coming from the so-called democratic west are at best sedative. No one is calling for Kibaki to vacate the seat. No one is calling for a re-election, but to the end of violence.

Well, violence should automatically stop when the Chief Election Commissioner is finally sure who won, and declare him as such, when the election robber is brought to book and flushed out of the loot store. There cannot be another way.

It might be flattering for Raila to see all the attention he is getting because of the victory he lost. He might soon receive a four minute phone call from Bush. (Obama spoke for five).

And perhaps a more courteous one from Gordon Brown. But all will be asking him to accept to be short changed, in exchange for a pretty good position in cabinet and about a dozen of his men and women. The voters who stood the December

"...How many times must the cannonballs fly
before they are forever banned...
How many years can some people exist
before they're allowed to be free
How many times can a man turn his head
and pretend that he just doesn't see
How many times must a man look up
before he can see the sky
How many ears must one man have
before he can hear people cry
How many deaths will it take till he knows
that too many people have died?..."

I thought I knew what was going on back home. Yesterday I called my lil sister to wish her a happy birthday, her answer was "Oh, it's my birthday? What's the date today?" That's how life has become in Kenya - no sense of time and space. It's grim, I think it should be time to force Kibaki out.
