   About The Rails
The Rails began in the summer of 2001 when Jeremy Willets returned home from college and was looking for a vehicle to explore his newly developing songwriting skills. He found it in Drew Doman, his guitar teacher during high school. Jeff Harmon knew Willets through Doman, and agreed to do the drumming. After numerous false starts -- and a few sessions worth of completed recordings that just didn't measure up -- the band finished their debut album at Curtis Leonard's studio in the summer of 2006. "Life's a Lonely Ride" is set for release on August 1st, 2006. It contains twelve songs:

1. Ready to Fly
2. Everyone's Son
3. I'm in Love with Misery
4. Mother, Games and School
5. Life's a Lonely Ride
6. One in a Million
7. Missed Connection
8. Feel It
9. Sad Bastard
10. Blue Collar Town
11. Tonight
12. Waste Your Time

Songs 4, 5, 7, and 12: words/music by Willets
Song 3: words by Willets/Doman, music by Willets
Songs 6, 8, 9: words/music by Doman
Songs 1 and 10: words by Doman, music by Doman/Willets
Songs 2 and 11: words by Willets, music by Willets/Doman
All songs arranged by The Rails
Published by Willetsongs (ASCAP) & Domanland Records (BMI)
Produced, mixed, and engineered by Curtis Leonard
Mastered by David Yost at Masterpiece Mastering Suite, Cleveland, Ohio
Sleeve by Willets

Yeah, Madagascar's kind of like Cleveland, only with well-paved roads and white kids.

I was strolling around Arlington the other day when "Blue Collar Town" came on the ol' iPod. And it amused me, because Arlington is anything but. Which is sad; makes for a less interesting city.

Hi!

How's it going? Hope you are well. We just put some new tracks and new versions on the page and we hope you will stop by and check them out.

We had 'Don't Curse the Sun' mastered by a guy named Bunt who has mastered many great records including some by Morrissey, the Magic Numbers, and Thom York's latest amongst others. We had the drums have been properly recorded first, and now we are going through all the tunes in the same way to finish them up.

Our other news of the moment is about Garageband.com. We are up at no.27 in the alt pop charts(no.1 in our round) and so they are going to promote us to Clear Channel radio stations across the USA. We will have a list of stations on our page within a couple of weeks!

Meanwhile we'd love to hear what you think of our final version of 'Dont Curse the Sun' and of the other 3 tunes. A couple new ones will be up in a week or so.

Speak soon..

Best wishes,
J+C

I remember seeing Rails frontman Jeremy Willets performing an acoustic version of "Lucky" by Britney Spears, oh many years ago. Any chance of getting that incorporated into the act?
