MY FAMILY HISTORY
My maiden name is RICHOUX, a French name given to a tribe of Germanic people who fled from the north and settled in France. The origin of the name:
RICHOUX
French (Berry and Loiret): from the Germanic personal name Ricwulf, a compound of ric ‘power(ful)’ + wulf ‘wolf’. I also had a great-grandmother named Olivia Loupe. Loupe is a French name meaning "Wolf". No wonder I feel a kinship with wolves...
I enjoy reading a good book, watching a good movie, having a good conversation with just about anyone. I enjoy dancing with Eddie, the Jazz Festival, walking around the French Quarter.
Who Should Paint You: Alfred Gockel
All American yet funky, you inspire an artist's imagination
And while not everyone will understand your portrait, you will!
KNOWLEDGE IS A DEADLY FRIEND IF NO ONE SETS THE RULES.
THE FATE OF ALL MANKIND, I SEE, IS IN THE HANDS OF FOOLS.

OUR FOUNDING FATHERS
You Are a Prophet Soul
You are a gentle soul, with good intentions toward everyone.
Selfless and kind, you have great faith in people.
Sometimes this faith can lead to disappoinment in the long run.
No matter what, you deal with everything in a calm and balanced way.
You are a good interpreter, very sensitive, intuitive, caring, and gentle.
Concerned about the world, you are good at predicting people's feelings.
A seeker of wisdom, you are a life long learner looking for purpose and meaning.
You are a great thinker and communicator, but not necessarily a doer.
Souls you are most compatible with: Bright Star Soul and Dreaming Soul

Silence, they say, is the voice of complicity.
But silence is impossible.
Silence screams.
Silence is a message,
just as doing nothing is an act.
Let who you are ring out & resonate
in every word & every deed.
Yes, become who you are.
There's no sidestepping your own being
or your own responsibility.
What you do is who you are.
You are your own comeuppance.
You become your own message.
You are the message.

Born and raised in New Orleans, I've been living down river in St. Bernard Parish for about 16 years. For a long time after Hurricane Katrina in '05, I called this sad place "THE THIRD WORLD, USA". If you were here that first year after Katrina, you know why.
I'm an old hippie...I love Lenny Bruce, but disagree with him when he says "There's nothing more pathetic than an aging hipster", because, well, I had the courage to live...he didn't. I think THAT'S pretty pathetic.
I'll take TRUTH and a sense of humor over POLITICAL CORRECTNESS any day. I'm smart enough to distinguish between what's funny and what's hateful. I'm a Cajun who thinks "Boudreaux and Thibodaux" jokes are funny, and I'm not insulted if you call me a COON ASS. I'm a Filipina who doesn't care if you call me a FLIP. As far as I'm concerned, it means "Forefathers Lived In Philippines"!
I am passionate about many things, such as individual rights, freedom of speech and religion, and NON-PARTISAN INTERPRETATION OF THE CONSTITUTION (It's in English. It's easy to understand. What the hell's the problem? Why do people constantly "re-interpret" the constitution? Don't they speak the same language it was written in???) Freedom to laugh at a joke because it's funny, without worrying about who the hell is offended; (as I said previously, JOKES INSPIRED BY HATRED ARE NOT FUNNY. PERIOD). I respect all people, respect MOTHER NATURE, respect MOTHER EARTH. I think that ETHNIC DIVERSITY makes life incredibly interesting. I'm also passionate about Native American issues, hurricane recovery, animal rights, and THE POWER OF ONE.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke
Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people.
~Jawaharlal Nehru (1889 - 1964)
Who I'd like to meet: .I wish I could meet EVERY ONE OF THE THOUSANDS OF VOLUNTEERS who have come down here in the past three years to help us get our lives back together again...so I can hug them and thank them personally.
I'd like to meet the Native American chiefs who fought the great battles, spoke eloquently for their people, gave their blood and breath to save them from extinction. The shameful disregard for our indiginous peoples in America is a continuation of the broken promises and systematic genocide perpetrated against them since the first invasion of the continent.
If we can have a holiday for dead presidents, I think we should have a holiday for those noble chiefs. They, more than presidents, live on in their people. As they say, "In the spirit of Crazy Horse" ~ Rhonda

Ooooo la la! My friend blogged about being an extra on set in Puerto Rico! Hope you Like!
Oh, one of these days we filmed close to a school and when the kids came out and saw Johnny some of them started screaming “look it’s Johnny Deep!” which we thought was super cute, and then one of the guys (extras) came to the conclusion that if Johnny is Juanito in Spanish and Deep is profundo, Johnny was; Juanito Profundo. And that is how we all referred to him the last two days we were on set (and how we still refer to him in all our emails and talks). It was super because we could talk about him in front of anyone and no one would realize right away that we were talking about Johnny, including public, which would minimize the screaming and the crying from crazy girls.
Just for the random here is a video of Juanito saying Gracias to a female that tells him “Bienvenido a Puerto Rico” in Spanish and everything and he understands because, in case I haven’t said this before, Juanito totally rocks.

New Orleans
A courtesan,
not old and yet no longer young,
who shuns the sunlight that the illusion of her former glory be preserved.
The mirrors in her house are dim and the frames are tarnished;a
ll her house is dim and beautiful with age....
And those whom she recieves...come to her in an eternal twilight....
New Orleans...a courtesan whose hold is strong upon the mature,
to whose charm the young must respond.
And all who leave her?
Return to her when she smiles across her languid fan....
New Orleans.
