Hiawatha in Iroquois mythology is a legendary leader and prophet. He called people for peace, love and community. Accompanied by Deganawida he set up the great League of the Iroquois and established its law code. Hiawatha myths are the base of Longfellow’s poem 'Song of Hiawatha'.
'Song of Hiawatha' is a narrative poem based on North American Indian myths, devoted to the person of marvelous origin who was sent to clean rivers, lakes and forests and to teach arts.
Should you ask me,
whence these stories?
Whence these legends and traditions,
With the odors of the forest
With the dew and damp of meadows,
With the curling smoke of wigwams,
With the rushing of great rivers,
With their frequent repetitions,
And their wild reverberations
As of thunder in the mountains?
I should answer, I should tell you,
"From the forests and the prairies,
From the great lakes of the Northland,
From the land of the Ojibways,
From the land of the Dacotahs,
From the mountains, moors, and fen-lands
Where the heron, the Shuh-shuh-gah,
Feeds among the reeds and rushes.
I repeat them as I heard them
From the lips of Nawadaha,
The musician, the sweet singer."
Hiawatha festival is a symbiosis of main directions of modern arts and music.
On the territory of the festival there will appear a small Indian village, highlighted with multicolored lights. Bringing to life old traditions, honoring nature and concentrating energy we will surround our settlement with animal totems and ritual constructions. The hyaline of reservoir will be stirred by magic Art-installation. Silence of the night sky will be broken by the sounds of live and electronic music. Flashing lights will overshadow stars glow. In the afternoon a peaceful way of life of villagers will be refreshed by theatre performances.
Various art expositions will delight the eye, acoustical concerts of ethnic and tribal groups, MC performances and sunny reggae will caress the ear.
Guest can without a shadow of doubt leave their children in Children Area Alliance and plunge entirely into ritual action. Intake of vitamins and life energy will be provided by ethnic cuisine of aboriginal Americans and aroma tea.

The festival will be held on the territory of the national park with plenty of architectural structures most of which are wooden. Please make a fire in strictly designated areas, treat all art objects respectfully and pay attention to all information plates close to art-installations.

Natural Trance is a patchwork linking modern culture with ethnic sound. The Hiliight Tribe, five musicians and one sound doctor at the mixing desk, play a live performance for the dancefloors of the 3rd millenium. Digeridoo, Djembe, Guitar, Congas, Drumset or Bass , among others, come in synchronization with the Drum kick. Travelling the world is part of the deal, that's how the band finds its happinness, inspirations and way of life!
