EL RPG METAL
Este concepto artístico nace de la afición
de la mayoría de la banda a los RPG. Para
aquellos que desconozcan este hobby,
estamos hablando de los juegos de rol,
tales como Dungeons & Dragons, Vampiro
La Mascarada, El Señor de los Anillos y
tantos otros. Juegos en los que los
participantes toman el papel de un
personaje y junto con un Director de
juego que va describiendo situaciones
e interpretando personajes secundarios,
se desarrollan historias, como si de un
cuentacuentos interactivo
estuviéramos hablando.
En esta línea, el grupo desarrolla la idea de mezclar sus dos pasiones, la música metal con los RPG, por lo que se decide combinar tanto en su página web, como en sus actuaciones en directo, los propios temas, con historias ambientadas en un mundo fantástico de espada y brujería. Un mundo creado por Cix a lo largo de más de 15 años jugando a rol.
Así, puedes encontrar en nuestra web relatos que narran leyendas, las historias fantásticas de los personajes que forman la banda y algunas sorpresas más, y en directo podrás ver un espectáculo en el que los temas van hilados por una historia que se va narrando a lo largo del concierto junto con algunos sucesos más en los que el público incluso participa.
A lo largo de los directos, la historia continúa, por lo que cada concierto es diferente al anterior. Sería como una serie que capítulo tras capítulo, va narrando las aventuras de la Hermandad del Dragon en su búsqueda de la Isla de la Luna Nueva. Si te has perdido alguno de los conciertos, no te preocupes, porque la historia será escrita en la sección de "RELATOS" de nuestra web para que si no quieres, no pierdas ningún detalle.
No queremos contarte más, ya que lo mejor es que vayas a ver a Rainknight y vivas la experiencia del RPG Metal por ti mismo.

El grupo RAINKNIGHT nace en Madrid en el año 2003. El proyecto arranca en solitario con A.Calleja (Cix) desarrollando la primera demo compuesta de 10 temas. Con la idea de llevarlo a un escenario se unen a él M.Montes (Reknar) a la guitarra y JL al bajo dando los primeros directos lanzando teclados y batería desde la mesa de mezclas. El trío graba una maqueta autoproducida con 10 temas retomando la mayoría de la demo inicial. El grupo funcionaba bien, por lo que incorporaron al a grupo R. de Mayo a la batería y J.Correas (Degard) a los teclados y con esta formación la banda aumentó su experiencia con más de diez conciertos. Rainknight se definía en aquel entonces como una banda de metal melódico, quizás en tierra de nadie, muy duro para los profanos en el metal, y muy suave para los amantes de la música más dura. En el año 2006 el grupo experimenta un cambio importante, JL y R.de Mayo dejan el grupo por falta de disponibilidad, y se une a la banda Raúl (Nocturnia), al bajo, quien encaja con el grupo desde el primer día y juntos toman la decisión de girar el rumbo del estilo hacia un terreno más metal. Poco después se unieron a la formación Tito (Laquerkes) a la batería y Laura (Alessa) como segunda voz. Rápidamente conectan también con la banda y, por azares del destino, la mayoría del grupo descubre que comparten una afición de muchos años atrás. Los RPG (role playing game). Esta circunstancia fue la génesis de la creación del concepto del RPG Metal, que desde entonces marca la línea a seguir del grupo. La aventura comienza de nuevo... _______________________________________________________________RainKnight was founded in the year 2003 in Madrid. The project starts with A. Calleja (Cix) alone, who releases his first demo including 10 tracks. Looking for a proper live performance, M. Montes a.k.a. Reknar (guitar) and J.L. (bass) join the formation, whereas drums and keyboards are reproduced trough a mixing player. They also record an auto-produced demo that offers new versions of most of the original songs. It’s good times for the band, so they incorporate two new members, R. de Mayo (drums) and J. Correas, a.k.a. Degard (keyboards). They earn an amount of experience playing in more than ten concerts. Their style at that time was close to melodic metal, maybe too hard for those not used to , and too soft for those fond of metal sounds. Till the year 2006, when the band suffers a main change: J.L. and R. de Mayo leave the formation due to their lack of spare time, and Raúl a.k.a. Nocturnia (bass) joins the band, who instantly connects with the other members, who take the resolution of changing their style to a more metallic sound. Soon afterwards, Tito, a.k.a. Laquerkes, joins them as drummer, and Laura, a.k.a. Alessa, as background vocalist. They also get on with their partners quickly, discovering that they all share a long time hobby, the roleplaying games (RPGs). This circumstance provides the start of the development of the RPG Metal concept, which marks their new direction since then. Adventure starts again… <“RPG Metal”. The band members have being playing and enjoying RPGs since years ago. We are talking about Role Playing Games such as “Dungeons & Dragons”, “The Lord of the Rings”, “Vampire: The Masquerade” and so many more. In this kind of games, each player takes the role of a character, and, along with the game master, they all help to tell a story, describing places, situations, and secondary characters, collaborating in a particular sort of interactive narration in which the characters take part in an adventure. Thanks to this, the band develops the idea of melding their two passions, metal music and RPGs, so they all decide to tell a story of dark sword & sorcery through their lyrics, their live performances and the contents of their website. It’s a world developed by Cix, who has been playing RPGs for more than 15 years. Thus, you can find in our website tales of ancient legends, fantastic stories relating our characters, and a few surprises, whereas in our live performances you can watch a show where our songs are strung together by a story told all along the concert, accompanied by some events in which the audience can also take part. The story continues its development on and on, so each show is like a chapter of the adventures of The Dragon’s Brotherhood in their search of the Island of the New Moon. Pleased to present the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
