Plink is a laboratory experiment in quiet music.
After years of seeking out those certain quiet records that never
appear often enough, Scott
Evans and Brad
Derrick decided to make one themselves. They recruited
vocalist Kate Cronin, who was singing with some of DC's most
prestigious choral ensembles, and set to work. Evans' and
Derrick's studios are 100 miles apart, so they composed and
exchanged tracks via the internet. After fifteen months of
intense work, the product was The Sleeping Lines.
Its quiet electronics offer slow, delicate songs in the
vein of Laurie Anderson, Low, Portishead, or Sigur Ros.
