Rainline is Rochester, New York’s adventure into original rock with a modern edge. Since August 2006, the band has created thoughtfully constructed original music that has appealed to a diverse fan base. Elusive to any one musical genre, the band pulls from a wide variety of influences to create a unique sound that is fresh, polished and appealing to a wide variety of listeners. All members of the quintet have extensive musical resumes as well as diverse interests.Front man/guitarist Ken Kral’s dynamic vocals are highly melodic with a modern edge. Guitarist Lee Heberger hails from the school of rock/metal - drawing influences from a variety of bands that created the soundscape of the '80's and ‘90‘s. Joining the band in April 2010, guitarist Tom Glende possesses a diverse musical background with influences ranging from country to metal. His musical diversity enables him to provide a heavier, more melodic edge to the material he creates. Progressive rock fans for decades, drummer Jeff Knope and bassist Todd Samolis provide a rhythmic foundation that is both sophisticated and aggressive. Rainline continues to impress audiences regularly with their high-energy live performances at venues throughout the Rochester area. Rainline’s mission is simple: “Continue creating music that is appealing to us while working to expand our creative boundaries.”
