We are a Pop/Country duo, blending the intimate conversational writing style of American Country music with infectious Pop melodies and catchy hooks. We imagined what it would be like to have Pink, Brad Paisley, Christina Aguilera, Gary Barlow, Sugarland and Keith Urban in the studio and say, ‘okay let’s write some songs.’ Can you imagine that kind of talent in one room? Anyways, we thought the results would be phenomenal, and so we set out to try and create that kind of sound, with that sort of excitement..... We knew that the success we aspire too could not be achieved in isolation and therefore we embarked on building a team of talented individuals, who although not necessarily exclusive to our project, would allow us to develop our idea and evolve our song writing ability. With this in mind our first task was to find the right Producer, and that person for us was Greg Friel, of Frielance Music. From our first meeting with Greg we knew we had found an important piece in our jigsaw, with not just his exceptional talent as a song-writer and Producer but also his all round musicianship. Our continued collaboration has resulted in a growing collection of brilliant new songs, for our debut album, ‘Hope in Troubled Times’ which also features the excellent talents of musician Stevie Lawrence and vocalist Chris Judge. In addition we have been working with top stylist, Tommy McEwen who has been keeping us on our toes with what to, and what not, to wear..... As for us, well we are Paul Bain and Claire McArthur from Glasgow, Scotland and we love what we do! It’s our passion. It’s what drives us forward; it’s what makes us want to be better and to make constant improvement; it’s what keeps us going when someone tries to tell us we can’t or won’t succeed. It is in writing songs that evoke a certain emotion at a specific time or creating a lyric just for the sake of sharing a story. It is performing our music to a crowd. It’s getting to work with really talented people who have helped us and our music improve so much. We really do love what we do!....
