The Wounded Heart is a survivor art exhibit that offers visual testimony to the impact of sexual violence in our lives. Survivors, friends and family of survivors, and those who work with survivors are invited to use wooden hearts as vehicles of expression and healing. This exhibit invites everyone to bear witness and honor the healing power of the human heart. The exhibit is installed every April in a high traffic area in Birmingham. Otherwise you can see the exhibit year round at the Crisis Center offices, or on myspace!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE 6th ANNUAL RAISE THE VOICE ART AUCTION..A Benefit to Break the Silence of Sexual Violence. RTV was a huge success this year raising over $30,000! All funds go to support survivors of sexual violence through the Rape Response and SANE programs of the Crisis Center.

We would love to meet people who are interested in coming to the events that raise awareness about sexual violence and how to END it, artists who would like to donate to the Raise The Voice 2009, and businesses who would like to make a charitable contribution.

-Folks who want to make artistic "healing" hearts for our Annual Wounded Heart Exhibit.
