RAISING FEAR™

Raising Fear born in 2002, from the 2 founder guitarists’ desire to create a new musical project to turn away from their different musical backgrounds: classic and thrash metal one, prog and synphnyc metal the other.
The musical joint between these two very different styles found fertile ground in a technical speed power metal, influenced deeply by the American 80s, hence the name Raising Fear recalling an Armored Saint album, and by the Teutonic power metal of the last decade.

Eighteen months after its foundation, and after various changes, the line-up was finally defined with Frana as bass player and Cristian Galimberti as drummer.
Last one to come is Rob Della Frera, singer for Deadline and Love Machine, that with his voice perfectly merges into the songs and gives definition to the style of the band.

In 2003 the release of the first promotional work made up of 5 tracks immediately highlights the band, especially in Germany, where they gained very positive feedbacks from the major trade magazines and obtained a good deal with the metal label DRAGONHEART/SPV.
In 2005 Raising Fear released their first studio album “MYTHOS”, soon followed by their second album “AVALON”, released in September 2006.

In 2007 personal commitments and different expectations brought some inevitable changes in the band line-up, which, despite the feeling of the more sceptics, have only strengthened the members’ ties allowing the band to dedicate almost two years solely to promotion through live shows.

In 2009 started the pre-production of the third studio album “ETERNAL CREED”, which will be released in October 2010 by CRASH ‘N BURN records.
In the next months, together with a constant promotion through live shows, the objective of Raising Fear will be to record a new song and a promotional video clip. The audio file will be then released in the web as a free-download to keep alive the attention of fans, and to pave the way to the new album foreseen for 2013.

Since the beginning Raising Fear realised that live shows are the real strength of the band. Each set is taken care of at best to offer impact and quality. The public recognised the potential consolidating their reputation year after year; this has given the band the opportunity to attend several relevant events:

2003: Valpolicella Metal Fest with GRAVE DIGGER
2003: Transylvania Live in Milan asopening act for JAG PANZER.
2005: opening act for BROCAS HELM and again for JAG PANZER during their tour dates in Italy.
2005: during Mythos promotional tour Raising Fear played at the Tradate Iron Fest, on stage with SAXON, RJ DIO, EXCITER, VICIOUS RUMORS and others.
2005: Raising Fear were at Swordbrothers Festival ad Andernach (Germany), only Italian band.
2008: 11th edition of Badia Rocks Fest with BRAINSTORM and NECRODETH.
2010: Sun Valley Metal fest with GRAVEWORM and ADAM BOMB.
2011: Italian Power Prog Fest (IPPF), together with SEVENTH WONDER e FROM THE DEPTH, where the band achieved great success among the public gaining several praiseworthy reviews.
