Bio:
Raiyn have been on the underground circuit at top hot spots in London and all around the country for several years and are known to turn people on and tear it up wherever they play. As well as working with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Bluey from Incognito, Daniel Bedingfield and many others, they have collectively and individually been gathering their skills to come up with an honest, real sound. Raiyn focus on the balance between writing heartfelt, meaningful songs with enough musicality to give as much colour & texture to their music as they can. Without ever compromising the emotion of the 'song'!!..... After Raiyn hit the scene with their energetic soulful vibes several years ago, they were building a fan base & industry interest who all wanted a record. After turning down several record deals in England and America they decided the only way to make a true record was to make it themselves. After working with all these great artists and friends and then in 2004 backing an American artist with the legendary Gary Katz producing(Steely Dan, Joe Cocker,Diana Ross & more) it gave them the confidence to produce their own record 'FLYAWAY'.
Raiyn pride themselves on putting everything on the line & staying a self funded, multi cultural band, and are a band in every sense of the word & this year set up their own label Raiyn Records.
The members of Raiyn have lived together for the past 4 years working hard at learning their trade, writing songs and going through their ups & downs together. Staying self sufficient with gigs and developing their music... & more importantly... their relationships with each other...... in their own time.
Got to give a huge amount of love & thanks to our families and friends for all their love, support & for being so understanding...... & to all the musicians who we have played with & learnt so much from! There are many & you know who you are!!
