About me:
As the son of Flamenco dancers and musicians, I was surrounded by artistic expression most of my young life. I was born in Argentina and at the age of four we relocated to New York where a small old fashioned stationary shop would establish the path I would choose not just as my profession but as part of the thread binding my life.
In this little stationary shop, which even included a soda fountain, a long lost characteristic in todays world of modern commerce, stood a small, wire comic book rack. In an instant, I became engulfed in a new world of heroes, monsters and funny animals. I would even coherse my younger sister to give up her piggy bank money so I could buy more and more comic books by using my secret weapon, big sad puppy eyes. Comics had a resounding affect on me. An epiphany hit me like the Hulk smashing his fist into Doc Samson, I too had an imagination! I picked up a pencil and began drawing. Comics opened the doorway to all facets of art for me, whether it was in picture books, toys, films, billboards or the art on wacky packages, I had a new perspective and appreciation for the world around me, and I never wavered in my belief that an artist was what I was going to be for my entire life.
