ARTIST - Gary McVay

PRODUCER - GARY McVay / Kirk W. Boland

SONGWRITERS - Kirk Wesley Boland, Jr.
Kirk W. Boland (ASCAP)
Tyson G. McKinster

RECORDED AT - Gloryland Recording Studio, Sevierville, TN

------------

So many thanks are in order on this song.
Kirk W. and his son, Kirk, Jr. were working on the song for a while.

Kirk W., then asked his son-in-law at that time, Tyson G. McKinster, an active duty United States Marine, at that time, for some input on the song.

Kirk W. then demoed the song, and sent it to his friend, Gary McVay, an artist and studio owner in Pigeon Forge, TN. Gary cut the song, and it turned out so well, that they released a cd with the song included on it.

"Your Volunteers Stand True", (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/garymcvay).

Jennifer D. Brofer an award-winning journalist for the United States Marine Corps, heard about the song, "And They All Came Home But Me(Once A Marine), and thought it would be a good article for "The Boot", the base newspaper for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island,SC.

http://www.thebootandjetstream.com/issues/boot/boot08190/page3.shtml

Kirk W. credits Ms. Brofer's enthusiasm for the song with giving him the confidence to keep pushing it forward.

(For more info on Ms. Brofer and her outstanding work you may visit,

www.jenniferbrofer.com and www.jenniferbrofer.net)

After Ms. Brofer's story, interest in the song continued with other newspapers running stories about the song, and the story was released on the USMC website, www.marines.mil.

Kirk W. Boland and his son, Kirk, Jr. were invited to perform the song at "The Lyceum" on MCRD, Parris Island, SC on October 14, 2005, for an event for Marine Corps Veterans.

SONG 3 --- "The Ultimate Love Story"

DEMO ARTISTS - Darryl Lee O'Donnell

Susan Marshall

PRODUCER - Charlie Boland, (BMI)

SONGWRITERS - Mr. Dale Hoover

Kirk W. Boland, (ASCAP)

Charlie Boland, (BMI)

This song walks with Jesus.

It started as a poem by Mr. Dale Hoover, a graduate of The Citadel and man that walks the walk for God.

Kirk W. asked his friend Dale, if he could make a song out of the poem. Dale gave Kirk W. the go ahead, so some changes in lyrics, a chorus was added and music, and a demo.

Kirk wants to thank Mr. Dale Hoover for being an example to follow. ------------------- Once again, Kirk W. called on his friend, Gary McVay to cut the song.

Charlie Boland, Kirk's brother liked Gary's cut of the song so well, he wanted to take it to Nashville and have a duet recorded with the song.

Charlie Boland produced the song, and made some arrangement, lyric, and timing changing to make the song more radio friendly, and his vision of the song has received many good reviews.

Our goal is to have the song recorded as a duet and released by Gospel or Country artists.

SONG 6 --- "Remember West Virginia Coal"

ARTIST - Gary McVay

PRODUCER - Gary McVay

SONGWRITERS - Kirk Wesley Boland, Jr.

Kirk W. Boland, (ASCAP)

RECORDED AT - Gloryland Recording Studio (www.gloryland.com)

------

Kirk Wesley Boland, Jr., now in high school, had come up with the song when he was still in middle school after watching the evening news about coal mine accidents.

Kirk, Jr., always a civic minded young man, wanted to help the safety conditions in the coal mines, so he wrote this song.

Kirk, Jr. and his father finished the song, and sent it to their friend, Gary McVay, the owner of Gloryland Recording Studio, located in Pigeon Forge, Tn.

Gary McVay worked for 20 yrs. on stage at the Smoky Mountain Jubilee where he played steel guitar and sang lead and baritone in the Jubilee Quartet. He stepped down from the stage to go "full time" in the studio, and plus to sing in churches when the opportunity would arise. Once Gary cut the demo of the song, it turned out so well, that others also liked it.

Artist, Kelly Coberly, also cut the song and released it on her cd titled,"Remember West Virgina Coal". (www.kellycoberly.com) Kelly's version has been performed in Nashville and received air play on sat. radio to 3 million listeners.

SONG 7 --- "And Have You Ever Known"

DEMO ARTIST- Kirk W. Boland

PRODUCER - Kirk W. Boland

SONGWRITER - Kirk W. Boland

This song honors the men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces that step up to protect our freedoms.

The first verse names Medal of Honor recipients, the late, MSG Gary I. Gordon and SFC Randall D. Shughart, that gave all they had in "Operation Gothic Serpent" (Black Hawk Down), trying to save their brothers.

The second verse names the first Medal of Honor recipient of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the late, SFC Paul Ray Smith, as he stayed on his .50 cal. so others may live.

The last verse asks the question, "Who will defend your precious ones?"

STILL only a select few guard the lives of the many, here in our nation.

Many never stop giving.

My friend, Sharri Briley continues to work on behalf of our heroes and their families with her Gold Star work.

The photo insert on the music player of this song, is of Mrs. Sharri Briley with Governor Mike Beebe of Arkansas, when she was honored during a Gold Star event.

Respectfully, Kirk W. Boland
