After months of demo heaven, I will be performing some new songs on Saturday, May 3, at the Lizard Lounge, Cambridge, MA. Many ideas are emerging on piano, something that’s hidden in the shadows of songs for years. I am truly enjoying how it’s opening up the palette. The electric guitar is still my friend, but will be given a bit more space than usual, foregoing the 2-guitar rock I’ve been in bed with for some years now. This show on May 3 aims to be the start of a few days of recording at Pumpkin Studios, Roslindale, MA -- a place where a musician can always uncover something brimming with character and light, thanks due to the irrepressible engineering heart and mind of Danny Horrid. I’m excited to hear how the spring will influence this new party of songs, and can’t wait to share the party with you.
