Thanks to everyone who has helped us out by putting on or coming to shows in the last year. Rampant Rabbit are truly dead but all members are still active in other bands, i have put them in our tops friends list so be sure to check them out! -Adam
Continuing Leeds’ strong tradition of exciting DIY noise rock, fresh-comers Rampant Rabbit are a rare and strange blend brewed in 2007. Musically, the dual bass trio deftly manoeuvre between complex math funk out riffs not dissimilar to Faraquet or Oxes and sludge-laden doom drones for fans of Boris or Melvins. Also they have fit young faces and lots of shouting.
Numbering just 8 strings between them members Henry Myers (Hank Haint, Zoob Toob) Luke James Webb (Dawn Chorus) & Adam Nodwell (Signuls, Massive Heron) have grown a maze of entangling rhythms on a solid foundation of mega-loud rock that celebrates influences including Fugazi, Shellac & Zu. Rampant Rabbit have already stunned crowds supporting the likes of I'm Being Good, Action Beat, Bilge Pump, That Fucking Tank, Take a Worm for a Walk Week, Lords, Nisennenmondai, Cleckhuddersfax & Oxes, now they would like to come to your town.
Welcome aboard the doom-laden funkadelic showboat. Three resident stiggers from the south of England ready to add their DNA into the bloodline of champions. If you havn't been confronted by Rampant Rabbit yet it may be hard to explain, alas an extremely horrible jangling bass duet for the most part fronting monolithic rampaging drums.

the mothers ruin podcast episode 3 - ‘i have a real problem with george lamb’
Its that time again, our monthly podcast (sort of) with all the bands coming to or played at the ruin and my rambling ranting self trying to hold it all together.
"I have a real problem with him, he is not even funny, and he know f-all about music. ‘Put him on to it’ I want to put him onto a stake!! I am sorry if you like him but I don’t, he reminds me of Noel Edmonds, I bet he likes all the stuff the NME goes on about and thinks Oasis are cutting edge. Tosser. "
Hauschka Having studied classical piano for ten years, Dusseldorf-based pianist/composer Volker Bertelmann's work as Hauschka is based upon a playful exploration of the possibilities of the 'prepared' piano. His resulting tracks are vivid, unconventional pieces made in a spirit of playful research-enthusiasm, which he's taken around the world - in the USA with Múm, in Japan with Colleen, and a debut, sold-out London show with Max Richter. Hauschka's music is a thing of beauty - intertwined melodies and rythyms that flit between gorgeously lush and complex and stunning minimalism.
Gareth S. Brown With influences as diverse as Eastern European folk music, funeral marches and jewellery boxes, Gareth creates gorgeous work of layered beauty with nods towards Philip Glass, Terry Riley and Michael Nyman as well as latter day travellers such as Max Richter, Yann Tiersen and Aphex Twin.
