Once a week we send out an email to over 1,300 registered members of our mailing list. The members newsletter usually goes out on tuesday evening and contains listings of events at the rampART and other related news. Joining up is the best way to stay informed about coming events.
Occasionally we might make an additional posting to alert people of short notice events, eviction alerts etc but this is very rare and you can be sure that the rampART list will be extremely low traffic. It's an announcement only list and generates no spam or comments.
You can sign up or sign off via riseup.net using the links below.

* Indymedia occasionally use the rampART as a venue for screenings and film festivals. These included 'Caminos De Resistencia' (Paths Of Resistance) and a Middle East Film Festival.
* Other film festivals organised at the rampART include 'Positive Global Movements', a week long exhibition of inspiring stories of resistance around the world.
* Prior to its official debut, Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 was premiered at the rampART on the 4th July as part of an 'Independence FROM America’ themed evening.
* 120 people squeezed into rampART's main room for a documentary about the McLibel trial and a sneak premiere of Supersize Me.
Television
Forget the telly, try the radio.
Broadcasting the the rampART studios, Dissident Island is a small republic off the coast of London inhabited by a motley crew of dissidents who spend most of their time playing with puppies and producing a radio show of some sort. On the first and third Friday of every month we are visited by an assortment of lovely people who will teach, entertain and generally brighten up our lives. In the first part of the show we will be serving up a mix of radio plays, info on upcoming actions, legal advice and whatever else is going on. We will also be supplying you with Djs playing dubstep, reggae, breakcore, drum and bass and maybe even a bit of hip hop. We hope you will visit us soon (every two weeks). Check this site for dates and times as well as links to previous shows.

Books
The first floor has a library, not as great as the libraries at LARC or Freedom but a library nether-the-less. A Radical Theory Reading Group meets in the library 6pm on Fridays twice a month.
Heroes
The rampART was inspired by Forte Prenestino and the Ex-Grand Banks and has drawn strength from the growing movement of social centers in the UK, some now long gone and others still holding on - Sumac, Basement, Common Place, LARC, Institute of Autonomy, The Square, Vortex, 56a Infoshop, Dalston Theater...
About me: rampART is a squatted building in east london which is run by a collective of volunteers as a non commercial venue, a radical social centre hosting a variety of political and cultural events. We meet every monday evening to hear proposals for events etc and are always keen for more people to get involved.
Towards the end of last year we lost a court case and had a possesion order granted against us however we have since appealed and for the time being the rampART lives on.

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
