The Rachel and Amryn Memorial Project (or, RAMP) is a fundraising initiative in honour of Rachel and Amryn Vanderven, who both passed away due to Mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome.
Through various fundraising events, such as the upcoming benefit concert 'Ramp Amped', we hope to raise awareness about mitochondrial diseases, funding for research, and donations to various organizations that assist ailing children and support their families - such as Canuck Place Children's Hospice.
Spygirl will be headlining the RAMP Amped concert for Canuck Place Children's Hospice, with performances by Red Cedar and Ora Cogan at the Western Front (303 E. 8th Ave, Vancouver) on Friday night, February 20th, 2009. Doors open at 7:30PM. Tickets are $15/$10 cash at the door. It's an all-ages show, but there will be a cash bar available. For more information, check out the blog below.
