About me:
I just finished running as a Progressive Democrat in the U.S. Senate race in Georgia. I did not win the Primary, but I was endorsed by the AFL-CIO, 38 local unions, the Nat'l Education Assocaition (NEA) and the GA Assoc. of Educators (GAE).
I was born and raised here, and my family roots go back for 10 generations. I was lucky to attend a great private school in Georgia and some of the best colleges in the nation. And, like most students, I was only able to complete my education (from high school through graduate school) because of scholarships, loans, and part-time jobs. Despite not holding a political office previously, I know what it takes to get the job done. I have worked with Congressmen from both parties and the Administration to pass environmentally friendly legislation. I am running for U.S. Senate because we need someone who has the education and expertise in the environmental issues and economic policies, biological sciences and business management.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is interested in promoting a change in our national government.
Hey Rand i just wanted to let you know that me and my mom vote for you on July 15, really wanted you to get the vote because your are the only real true progressive, and i can't stand Vernon Jones, especially because he voted for Bush twice, i will definitely keep on following your career
Thanks for stepping up and working hard for this election. Your message is the right one and I believe you have a bright future in the Democratic Party. Keep pushing those issues everywhere you can. A lot of people are out here needing the help, many that don't even know it yet.
So dust yourself off man and keep going, your message is too important not to keep chipping away, you will go far, I know it to be true. There is no doubt in my mind that Rand Knight will have his place in history. Thanks for running a remarkable campaign!

Hi Mr. Knight i heard about you threw a debate i saw on youtube, me and my mom will be voting for you on July 15, i really like the fact that your a progressive, and that you will bring fresh, new ideas to the senate, i just want all of the republicans voted out of the House, Senate and Congress, for the government to really work for the people i believe that we need all democrats. At this point democrats have always been for and about the people, and the Republicans have always been about meaningless wars, oil companies and corporations and then getting more money in there pockets. This election year is so important. And i will tell everyone i know to vote for you, your a progressive i love your ideas. I hope that you will be do nothing Saxby this fall, Republicans must go!
