Randy's Interests

General	I currently play on a 1971 Fender Twin Reverb, a couple of custom built Telecaster style guitars, and use Rio Grande Pickups in my main guitar.
Music	I listen to a lot of other types, but Country is where I stay for myself and my style of music right now. I do of course have to jam a little blues and rock every now and then to blow the cobwebs off! I'm also picking up my bass again from time to time to remind myself how much I still have to learn on that instrument. I feel sorry for the people that say bass is the easiest instrument to play and it's not hard to learn. They evidently have never learn any Weather Report, or seen any Victor Wooten footage. Ya, to bounce between one/five quarters on country isn't the most difficult thing ever, but there is just so much more!!!

About me:
I've been playing guitar and bass in bands since I was 15 years old. Completely self taught, I became very influenced by Roy Nichols, Jerry Reed, Albert Lee, Don Rich, Brad Paisley, and of course Brent Mason. Other than that, I pretty much developed my own style. My major vocal influences are Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and Raul Malo.

I got married in October 2007 to my lovely wife Julie and everything is going great!! I have Played around Texas as well as making a few runs out to New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Minnesota, etc. In the last 7 or 8 years I have had the pleasure of opening up shows for Jack Ingram, Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland and The Stragglers, Gary Allan, Randy rogers, Little Texas, Charlie Robison, and a few others!

Who I'd like to meet:
Eric Clapton for sure. Most of the other people I would have loved to meet are no longer with us. I would like to meet the person that is going to give me my biggest paycheck ever, and hope that I haven't already!!!
