Influences
A vast cornicopia of influences, including Folk/Bluegrass music and many various artists in genres ranging from Hard and Classic Rock to Alternative to Folk--and beyond. Howard (who grew up in the sixties) has a great respect for the music of YES, and Matt is inspired by Johnny Cash. Mike is a lover of celtic and traditional tunes, while Faith's main influences for song-writing are rooted in 80s and 90s "London dark-pop" like Morrisey and The Cure.

Unique and ever evolving sound--Alternative/Folk Rock
We are a four-piece acoustic guitar/mandolin band out of the Lancaster/Columbus, OH area. Lead male and female vocal harmony. Randolph Street began in 2004 when Howard met Matt at an open-mic in Circleville and soon asked if he would like to play together. Their first album is titled Songs for a Late Night Drive. Howard sang in choirs and ensembles during high school and has been writing songs since the age of ten. He now teaches English and History in Columbus. Matt is a self-taught musician who began playing when he was fifteen. He and wife, Leslie, reside in central Ohio with two sons. With brother, Rob, Howard played under the name White Ash in the seventies and Matt's old band with friend, Chad Potts, was called Vintage Underground. In 2005, Mike joined Howard and Matt, and they played out as RS with a fuller sound. Mike, of Waverly, was an avid runner in his high school's cross-country track team and also a member of their band. He recently graduated from Otterbine with a degree in History. Faith, who is also from Waverly, sang in choirs and a small madrigal group and performed solos for competition and recitals in high school. Now a college student and independent artist, Faith is very excited to have become the newest member the group.
