About me:

We are RANDOM FACTORS, recording and selling folk, filk and whatever else that interests us.

What's filk? Go here and find out!

We currently have two artists in our "stable," Leslie Fish and Joe Bethancourt.

If there's one name that's practically synonymous with filk (Science Fiction fandom's own folk music), it's Leslie Fish. Leslie has written literally hundreds of songs covering almost every subject, from the space program ("Hope Eyrie"), to Star Trek ("Banned From Argo") to urban life, history, and space fantasy ("Carmen Miranda's Ghost"), as well as writing music for poems by authors from Rudyard Kipling on up to contemporary fantasy writers. Leslie is also a fine performer, guitarist, and storyteller.

Joe Bethancourt has been playing the banjo since he was old enough to know better, and is a compulsive picker, collector and learner of weird instruments. He plays (at last count) 65 different instruments, sings in several languages and is a walking history book on the American Old West. What makes this even more remarkable is that he has never had any formal music training, doesn't read music, and is on leave from the Phoenix Home for the Musically Bewildered.

We were also pleased to have recorded the first CD of The Bringers, a pioneering Celtic Fusion band. Copies of that amazing CD are still available!

Please help Walter Koenig, "Chekov from Star Trek TOS", Get His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Walter has been nominated for his star and waltersstar.com has raised the money to manufacture and install the star (Thanks!). All Walter needs now is the votes of the Walk of Fame Committee.
Write to the Walk of Fame Committee a polite letter in your own words, why you think Walter should have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. These NEED to be letters from each individual fan in the fan's own words. Not copies, Not form letters, Not chain letters.

Everyone celebrates St. Patrick's Day in their own way.

Finnegan was an upperclassman who tormented James T. Kirk during his time at Starfleet Academy.

Finnegan taunts Kirk, "You're a stupid under classman. I've got the edge. I'm still 20 years old.Look at you. You're an old man.
"

Finnegan wins the first round of the fight that he starts with Captain Kirk.

Finnegan gloats, "Sleep sweet,Jimmy boy. Sleep as long as you like. Sleep forever,Jim baby. Forever and forever.
"

Kirk finally has enough and he chases down Finnegan and wins the fight.

Spock inquires, "Did you enjoy it, Captain?"
Kirk reflects, "Yes, I enjoyed it. After all these years...I did enjoy it.

The one thing I wanted to do was to beat the tar out of Finnegan.
"

Thanks for the add! We love Leslie's stuff here. The kids learned "Carmen Miranda's Ghost" while most kids were learning the theme song to Barney!
