Music
Damn near anything.
I listen to loud crashing metal, soft cello concertos, everything between and a few things sideways to boot.
What I have listened to in the last few weeks:
Ministry, Clash, Led Zepplin, AfroPop, NPR News, Industrial/goth, techno, persian classical music, motown, Duke Ellington, Bach, Nitzer Ebb, Kraftwerk, Fluke, Blues Brothers, James Brown, and a lot of other stuff I have forgotten.
SEND ME A SUGGESTION!!
Movies
I like deep stuff with lots of meaning. And monkeys. Lots of a meaning with funny monkeys.
Television
I don't watch a lot of tv, but I like my mind engaged when I do. Let's just say I usually avoid primetime on the major networks.
Books
I used to work in bookstores during my undergrad studies. I am a voracious reader, and loved the job. Ah well. Time to do something that gives me health insurance. Anybody seen my soul? The boss says its time to give it up. sigh.
Men who have two or more orgasms a week tend to live significantly longer than do those who have only one or none, according to research at Cardiff University in Wales.
Heroes
Benjamin Franklin.
Dream of the Endless.
Sherlock Holmes: a flawed charactor (junkie) before they were in style.
As for real people, I admire a lot of people who risk their lives for what they believe in, even if I don't agree with what they believe.
Hamid Karzai. If you don't know who he is, you should. From everything I have seen of him, he is to be admired for his bravery and statesmanship.

I wasn't one of the cool kids in high school and I don't see any point in trying to do that here.
I am a veteran of the US army 89-93. I was an excellent intelligence analyst, but a poor soldier, so I decided not to stay. I would say, however, that machine guns are a lot of fun even if my unit just had crappy vietnam era m60's. I know a LOT about geo-politics, and may try to take the state department's foreign service exam. I love to debate poltics and listen to people I don't agree with.
The big engines you see pulling trains, although called "deisel engines", aren't really run by deisel engines. It is more accurate to call them electric trains, as they are essentially massive diesel generators that use electricity to power their drive systems and pull the cars behind them.
I recently got my first after-college job. If you ever want to know anything about insurance, ask me. (see "businesses" section)
I am good at science, linguistics, economics. I read physics and chemistry textbooks for fun. I read the Economist on a regular basis, as well as a LOT of other similar websites.
I remain current on military affairs.
I can say "thank you" in 19 languages.
I speak german pretty well, a little bit of spanish, a very small bit of arabic, and I will try to learn a little bit of chinese over the next year.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Above all else, I would like to leave the world a better place for my having been here. Corny, but deeply felt.
C4 plastic explosive gets its name from the fact that it is comprised of four carbon atoms and it's explosive kick from the fact that those atoms are arranged at 90 degree angles to each other.

Who I'd like to meet: I want to meet people who drink and hang out late at night, people who wear black, people who have never been on a football team, dark and mysterious types, accountants, professional barflies, grad students, models, artists, discontented, wierd, deviants, in short, most people who seem to be on myspace.
If you want to talk about something, message me. I like to listen to people talk about almost anything that interests them.
FRIEND REQUESTS WITHOUT A MESSAGE WILL BE DENIED.
I assume the majority of such requests are porn/advertising bots.
lol My birthday was actually April 27th, probably the worst month ever considering all the mass murders to have taken place as well as it being the month in which at least two nefarious world leaders were born.
Who writes a check for that little? Better off getting a money order.... hahaha
Your knowledge of Obama's energy policy is second to none. I hope McCain doesn't score points by attacking Obama on this one, as McCain's policy is little more than "drill drill drill" it would appear.
In a boisterous and hastily-called press conference, Obama detailed his reasons for the decision. “I was prepared to fight global warming, reform the health care system, repair our crumbling roads, create a 21st century electric grid, find Bin Laden, end the war in Iraq, and bring peace to Israel and the Palestinians. But now you tell me I have to clean up the worst financial mess since the Great Depression too? One that’s going to plunge our economy into a recession for most of my administration while I take the blame? Fuck that. That’s fucking ridiculous. You guys clean up your own shit. I’m outta here. "
Hey RG, what do you think about what happened with Lehman Brothers, AIG, and Merril Lynch over the weekend? All of this is sounding terribly alarming, I mean, when do you think this mortgage crisis will bottom out?
I'm also wondering how all of this is affecting the economy as a whole. Oil is down under a $100 a barrel and the dollar seems to be going up. But this is happening too. Any thoughts, o master of all that is random and numerical?
Hey there RG, its refreshing to see a myspace page that is not full of pics of people showing how they are perpetually stuck in the 12th grade...ya know your page actually is not a waste of the free space we all are given, kudos to you my man.
I checke dthe exchange rates yesterday, seems that the euro isn't as highas it was earlier this year ( 1.56). It seems to have dipped down to 1.45.
Not that much of a difference, but somewhat pleasant surprise, nonetheless. When I come back, I promise to tell you how I managed to do it without breaking myself lol
