I'm a Christian Homeschooling Gamer Mom. I've been married 16 years, we have 4 children, and we struggle on one income in this two income world so that I can stay home with the kids. I enjoy Tabletop gaming as well as MMORPGs. I prefer the fantasy genre. I don't like single player computer games much at all. I don't really play Nintendo or PS2, though we do have the games for our kids. I'm mostly driven by games with high social interaction, and low (or preferrably non-existant) violence, though I generally find myself playing games that contain fighting because those are the kind of games that my husband plays - and I like to play games with my family.
Currently I am developing a different kind of game for a different kind of gamer. It is called VISIONS and it is set in the 2nd century Holy Land. It is our plan to have a strong History content for which we are doing a heavy amount of research, as well as Biblical and traditional Role Playing content. The goal is to make the players feel as if they have been immersed in the historical time setting so that they experience history from a personal point of view, so that the world of the past will come alive through the game experience.
WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS! We are seeking dedicated people who have a few hours every week to donate to the game development project. We need Programmers (C++ programmers, and MySQL Database programmers) , Artists (3D modelers, Animators, UVwrappers, 3D Cinematographers, etc.), Quest Writers, Muscians,Researchers, and even Recruiters! Yes volunteers who help recruit more volunteers to the team. We need a total of about 200+ active part time volunteers to equal the number of hours of work a full time paid development team would put in each week. If you are interested in joining our team of volunteers, you may fill out the Application form on our website. Please be aware we are still in the early development stage, trying to get the client ready for Alpha testing. There is actual work to be done. Joining the development team is an opportunity to gain resume experience working on a Game Development Team, not to get in a free Beta test. If you are interested in bug testing or play testing, please keep up to date on the Community Forums! We are not currently in testing at the moment, we are in development.

Sometimes, people get distracted by what they consider to be a disadvantage or weakness in their lives. It may be something about their personality or looks that they don’t like. Or maybe they’ve been through an unfair situation: a divorce, a bad business deal, or a bad break. We all have things that can feel like disadvantages; things that make it harder on us. It may even be a physical handicap where you can’t get around like you used to.
But just because you have a “disadvantage,” just because you’ve been through a tough time, doesn’t mean you’re supposed to sit back and settle where you are. God still has something great for you to do! He wants to show Himself strong in and through you. The Holy Spirit wants to help you when you feel weak. If you will stay in faith and not get negative toward yourself or your future, then God can take what you Think is a liability and turn it into an asset. What you think is a disadvantage, God will turn around to be an advantage so you can move forward into the abundant life He has for you!
