Well, first of all, I write. A lot. Lots and lots. Did I mention I write? Anyway, I mostly write fanfiction. But I've worked on some fiction with characters of my own creation. My mentors (well, the authors I look up to the most) are LM Montgomery and CS Lewis. You can find my fanfiction here: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/370448/ When I'm not writing, I'm singing. I drive people nuts with all my singing. I like to read. Books, magazines, boxtops.....I'm not picky. Video games are also my thing. Right now, I'm into Sims 2 on PC. Movies and television. I'm not incredibly picky. But I don't like stuff with a lot of language or crude content. And I don't like horror movies or 'paranormal' television. Unless you count 'LOST' as paranormal, which I don't. I'm not really an outdoors type of person. But I do like to fish. And I enjoy watching baseball sometimes. My other favorite sports are gymnastics and ice skating. There will never be another Scott Hamilton. I love History. Especially Ancient History. Like studying the civilizations of Egypt, Rome, and Greece. It's just incredibly fascinating to me. And....I guess that's about it. Exciting, huh?
  • Music

I listen to all types of music. Christian, country, a little bit of pop, oldies, Eighties and Nineties music (I refuse to categorize that as 'oldies'), classic country, classical.....but my favorite at the moment is soundtracks. Movie or Broadway, it doesn't really matter. As long as it's good. I'm a sucker for anything that sounds the least bit Celtic in nature. As far as favorite singers or bands go, there's a definitive tops on the list. DC Talk is MY band and I live for the day they decide to reunite. Separately, they rock. But together, they're unstoppable. Other favorite bands/singers are Newsboys, FFH, Audio Adrenaline, Switchfoot, Zoegirl, Barlow Girl, Nichole Nordeman, Michael W Smith, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Brad Paisley, Diamond Rio, Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Josh Groban, Michael Crawford.....and I'm all out at the moment.
  • Movies

Don't get me started. Actually, there's really not many movies I DON'T like. Um, no horror movies, no modern 'teen' movies with all those crude jokes and stuff. I prefer comedy over drama, romantic comedy over comedy, and musicals above all. Actually, it just depends on the mood I'm in as to which type I watch. Classical movies are a big part of my collection. Some of my very favorite movies are: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, Secondhand Lions, Singin' in the Rain, On the Town, Gone with the Wind, Summer Stock, Meet Me in St. Louis, Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, Chicago, Moulin Rouge!, Wuthering Heights (Laurence Olivier version), Robin Hood (Errol Flynn version), Blazing Saddles, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.....well, I could just go on and on and on....
  • Television

Well, most of the television shows I ever liked are now gone. Cancelled because networks were stupid, or just classic tv shows. But there are some more 'modern' ones that I watch. Some faithfully, some once in a while. Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Big Bang Theory, LOST, Gilmore Girls, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess (stop laughing!). Of course, the only ones I watch with regularity are the two Stargates and LOST. Firefly's been cancelled, Xena and Hercules have run their course, but I try to catch reruns when I can. And I can't get WB on my spooty tv. So I watch old episodes of Gilmore Girls on ABC Family. Oh! Spooty! That reminds me. I also like 'Angry Beavers'.
  • Books

*squeals with glee* Books! Well, let's see. Favorite books: The Chronicles of Narnia, the 'Little House' books, anything by LM Montgomery but especially the 'Anne of Green Gables' series, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, the 'Cheney Duvall, M.D.' series......let's just skip ahead to the authors. Favorite authors: CS Lewis, LM Montgomery, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Gilbert Morris, Janette Oke, Jane Austen.
  • Heroes

In real life? Or actual 'super' heroes? Because if we're talking superheroes, I'd say the X-Men. Um, the movie X-Men, please. Because I'd also like to meet Hugh Jackman. As for real life, I'd say my mom. And her mother. And her mother's mother. Mom, Mon, and Mama. Three strong women that I'm proud to be a descendant of. I just hope I can live up to the precedent that was set.

About me:

I'm 30 and I live in the wonderful South! I'm married, no kids, but I have a cat named Pepper. I work at a university and am attempting to get my associate's degree sometime before Elton John goes straight. I'm not really what you would call a 'fangirl', but I act like one because it's fun to do sometimes. I'm really not as obsessed as you might think. Someday, when I either get a recording contract or my first best seller published, I'm going to buy a lot of land somewhere and build the house of my dreams, then take a trip around the world. England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Greece, Russia, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Canada....you get the general idea. What I'd really like to be is a normal housewife with three or four kids running around. Yeah, I know. It's terribly unambitious and unmodern of me, huh? Oh, well. Just call me Donna Reed. Who I'd like to meet:

Hmmm. Well, if I had a time-traveling DeLorean, I'd like to meet Queen Victoria, William Wallace (yes, I'm aware he probably won't look like Mel Gibson), Jane Austen, LM Montgomery, CS Lewis, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Katharine Hepburn, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Maureen O'Hara, and......the Marx Brothers. Yeah. I'm weird. Since I DON'T have a time traveling DeLorean, I'll settle for Sean Bean, Viggo Mortensen, Johnny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Lauren Graham, Richard Dean Anderson, Ewan McGregor, Craig Ferguson, Michael Shanks, Paul McGillion, David Hewlett, Lucy Lawless, just about anyone on 'LOST', Craig Parker, George W Bush, Laura Bush, Cate Blanchett, or Tom Cruise. Um, the last one is so I can attempt to smack him in the face. He needs it. So, as you can see, during these modern times I'm fairly shallow. And now for something completely different. In short....a video I made.
