There have been many influences over the years. Roy Nichols, Clint Strong, Redd Volkaert, Don Rich, Pete Anderson, Brent Mason, Brad Paisley, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others including some local guys that I played with when younger. RIP to two of my good friends that tought me a lot in my earlier years, Buddy Craig, and Terry Penny. I miss you both!

Randy was born in San Antonio, Texas, and has lived in the Texas Hill Country most of his life. When only seven years old, he picked up his dad’s classical guitar and started learning chords out of an old Roy Clark lesson book. In his early teens he became more serious. At age 13, he bought his first electric bass and shortly after, an electric guitar. Randy remained self taught. He started playing in bands when he was fourteen. Over the years Randy has developed his own style and in the process has opened shows for Gary Allan, Jack Ingram, Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Randy Rogers and several others. He has also come into his own as a vocalist, adding lead and harmony vocals to his abilities. He has recently joined Brent Allen as his lead guitarist and is loving it!
The song "Can't Go On This Way" was recorded when I was with 3 Ring Rodeo in 2007. I Sang the lead vocals, and played all string instruments on this version of the track. The drums are Donny Tomlinson, harmony vocals and keyboard, as well as engineering and all mixing was done by Kyle Level in Fresno, TX.
The song "Get Busy" is written by Rick Miller. I played the lead guitar part in the studio on this version. That is Rick Miller on lead vocals.
I played all recorded parts on Fender guitars strung with Ernie Ball strings. I've been using Ernie Ball strings for many years and have yet to find another string that can give me the tone I want as perfectly as Ernie Balls.
