Influences
Love, remorse, history, beauty, laughter, freedom, imagination, hope, what's being done, what's not being done. Plus, Steve Winwood, Lennon, McCartney, George too, Donovan, Early Genesis, Early Tull, Early Chicago, Early Elvis Costello (why does this always happen?), John Gorka, Augie March, Pete Townshend, Motown, Mountain, Yes, Jeff Beck, Young Rascals, The Sundays, CSN&Y, The Eagles, Gentle Giant (Those don't belong next to each other do they?), U2, Counting Crows and...well...that's enough. Oh, and Gary Larson and Dave Barry.
I grew up with the rock music of the 60s and 70s, watching it evolve and evolving with it. My CD Around Every Corner represents some of that. Whether straight forward, esoteric, or a bit bombastic, like the diversity I admire in who we are, I wrote these songs to reflect a time or place in my life, or one imagined. Surprises make life interesting and can be found in far off places or where you go about your daily life, if you look - around every corner.
Look up Around Every Corner on Amazon, iTunes or CD Baby to hear more.
Sounds lovely, Randy! Great to hear these fine songs, specially today (while having my annual sulk about John Lennon :( ) Hope Washington's bein good to you. XXXXX to all
