Comics, Writing (comics, screenplays, misc. articles and rants) Good Cartoons, Movies, radio dramas, newspaper strips (especially the adventure strips like Flash Gordon and Dick Tracy). I'm not active enough so I'm working on being more so because I really enjoy eating (and I have the spare tire to prove it!). Deep discussions, philosophy, and having fun. Poker and Curling are my favorite sports. I like to travel and do things I've never done before.
Music
VERY eclectic tastes, all kinds of music though classical and "acid rock" only in SHORT dosses. Really into Tom Waits, Alan Parsons, Keb Mo, Fred Eaglesmith, and Harry Chapin, but mostly hit and miss on artist depending on the song. Being an artist, though not a musical one, my likes and dislikes really depend on my mood, though I'm attracted more to songs than say something more than just a good beat.
Movies
Any/all I love most all kinds of film, but if you have to have a list of all time favorites they would include: Casablanca, Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead, Usual Suspects, Citizen Kane, Maltese Falcon (big Bogey fan), Flash Gordon (for style more than acting), 5th Element, Big Chill, many, many others.
Television
Mostly escapist dramas, Dr Who, Torchwood, Grey's Anatomy, most all the FX dramas (Sons Of Anarchy is in my top 5 easily), the occasional CSI (I LOVE CSI MIAMI because it IS this decade's BATMAN) I write a little, so I can get "anal"itical at times about shows that don't quite meet my expectations. Favorite shows of all time would have to be Babylon 5, with the original Trek, Outer Limits, and Twilight Zone right up there. Not too crazy about sit-coms, though Two and a Half Men is watchable to me. I am hooked on the english soap opera Coronation Street and watch that regularly, as well as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
Books
Usually escapist literature. Pulp novels, and graphic novels like Watchmen and V for Vendetta. On my reading table right now is a book on writing screenplays (writing Movies- VERY good btw), The Mammoth Book Of Crime Comics (also amazing!), Showcase Presents:Sgt. Rock Vol 2, The Mammoth Book Of New Manga Vol 2, and a collection of Arsenic Lullaby volumes.

My score on The Politics Test:
Left Libertarian (You scored 83% Personal Liberty and 69% Economic Liberty!)
A left libertarian believes in little to no government intervention on personal matters and little to moderate government intervention on economic matters. They generally believe in a government that is extremely small and limited to the extent of protecting people's liberty. They tend to be strongly opposed to war, police powers, victimless crimes, foreign intervention and what they consider to be a welfare state. They strongly support self-ownership and support property rights. They support capitalism as an economic system. Libertarian thought is individualist in nature.

About me: Graphic Artist by trade. Comics and cartoons are my life. I like all sorts of movies, mostly dramatic television, and most other media. I enjoy photography.
I freelance a lot under the name Zimm Graphix (see the Zimm Graphix Myspace page listed in my "friends" section) I've self-published my own comic books,(Arrow Comics, also has their own page- as well as my cartoon monkey Spank) and have gotten close enough to that "big Hollywood deal" to become a little cynical about Hollywood all together, but I'm still willing to listen- lol.

Who I'd like to meet: Friends, new friends, old friends, drinking buddies, comic book freaks, almost anyone.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Pets are pets but they become so much part of the family that when one passes it is still a great loss. Thinking about you buddy.
