"Randy Washington"!!!!
Randy Washington, Born May 31st 1972 in Prince Georges County MD. Throughout his childhood Randy sang in church. In 1976 Randy moved with his mother to Harrisonburg, VA. As his life moved forward he began singing in the school choir and started performing in the school plays. At that point in his life he knew that he wanted to perform music!
In 1991 Randy took part in forming a four-part harmony group called "Manifest Destiny". This group quickly won over the hearts of local communities. In late 1991 Manifest Destiny performed at the Coors Light Super Talent Showcase and opened for R&B recording artist Brian McKnight at Mr P's located in Charlotte NC.
Throughout the rest of the 90's, Manifest Destiny performed at Catfish Station opening for R&B recording artist's Bobby Brown and A Few Good Men in Atlanta GA. Manifest Destiny also opened for R&B recording artist's Craig Mack and The Delphonics at two separate shows in Charlottesville VA. And of course the group performed at numerous self-promoted shows and venues throughout VA, DC, MD, and NC.
In 1999 Randy decided to make a change to his music path and pursue a solo career and left his group Manifest Destiny.
Later in 1999 Randy was invited to what most would consider being the most prestigious stage in the world, The APOLLO. Randy was a contestant on the nationally televised show "SHOW TIME AT THE APOLLO" winning twice! Following his success on the APOLLO, Randy was invited to perform his show winning song I" believe I can fly" at the 2000 Essence Awards hosted by Oprah Winfrey and Bill Cosby.
Over the past seven years Randy has been steady working on perfecting his vocal range, and his overall sound. Randy has been compared to the likes of Usher, R Kelly, Luther Vandross, Boyz 2 Men and others.
In 2006 Randy signed on with J-LOC Management operated by Joe Miller. This led to him getting signed to a production deal with M-LAND RECORDS an independent record label based out of Baltimore MD. Once on board with J-LOC and M-LAND Randy started working on his first album. During the pass year Randy has worked with 240 ENTERTAINMENT and RAP artist BI-BANG out of Jersey city on several projects to include a new nation wide released mix tape hosted by NY cities hottest DJ "Megatron" from Hot 97 due to be released in Feb 07.
