About me:

The Ranfurly Review is a brand new literary journal based in Scotland.

The Ranfurly Review publishes challenging fiction and exciting poetry. We do it four times a year (December, March, June, and September), and we do it as a free downloadable e-zine.

We believe that reading should not be a chore, but that it be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

The Ranfurly Review is therefore contributed to, edited and published, by the sheer desire to entertain and inform through the written word.

David Franks: Walkabouts Verse

May 9 2009 7:16 PM

(Hi: enjoyed my visit.)

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN

Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.

I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.

I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”

Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

Hi,
novel-storm. com finally went live last week and I would love it if you registered. It's FREE and takes seconds and I think you'll love the site!
Visit the new books category and read dreamer by Peter Cooper - it's a beautiful, but tragic story. I look forward to seeing you there and in the forums!

Kindest regards

Matt
