The Boston Globe described it as "neo old-timey with cosmopolitan splashes of contemporary pop and jazz." It's an exuberant mix of musical idioms, held together by superb musicianship, impeccable taste, and the band's charismatic vocals. A stage show dips into country blues, vintage swing, modern songwriter fare, and Appalachian fiddle tunes and songs. It's a bracing fusion: listen to Arbo deliver Bessie Jones' version of "O Death" accompanied by fat, bluesy guitar solos and a groove that owes allegiance to the Meters, and you'll see. This is a band that picks up what's lying around from tin cans to traditional music and creates something new.

Answered my own question with the help of Google. I realize it's Bessie JONES, not Bessie Smith. The title is "Turtle Dove" and it's on your Gambling Eden album. Can't wait to get it.
Great show in Rockland! Thanks for coming to Maine. I have a burning question: What is the title to the Bessie Smith gospel tune that has Adam and Eve and a bunch of nonsense words in the lyrics? I've heard this song once before and I HAVE to learn it. Is it on any of your recordings? Please help!
I would really like it if you would put your song; Shine On; on your myspace. I have a troubled child right now that I would like to add it to my page as a myspace background song! Thanks!
