Sounds Like
An amalgamation of sounds. You know, like someone who listens to a lot of different music and then dumps ideas into his own work.
I got my start collecting drum'n'bass vinyl, Djing since 1996 using the name Ransom, but locally I am known by many as Harry Ransom, probably for the past eight years. I have recently decided that all future production en devours will be credited as Harry Ransom; there are a few other Djs with the name Ransom, and all pretty big in their own genres, which I discovered a couple years ago.
Nowadays I work full-time, but always listening to a wide range of music, going out to various shows and events in DC and Baltimore, occasionally mixing drum’n’bass, dubstep and breakbeat sets, and working on my production skills. My roommate is Signal, who is part of Robot Death Squad, so between him, Marcio of Telemetrik, Matt Nordstrom (a.k.a. MRN), Jesse Tittsworth and a few other friends of mine giving me tips and advice, I am giving production another go. After a four year hiatus from all things production, this second go at it is a lot more fun.
I also love waffles, and a good fancy beer.
