The delusional machinery of everyday life blindly stretches the forces that shape our lives into an asinine periphery, an ultraviolet fantasy for weak minds, nature has only a fleeting sufferance for the reversal of its involuntary movements. Maxwell’s
Demon is not just a mathematical proposition, it is alive and kicking in the beige strip malls, sweaty megaplexes, and vertiginous mini golf parks of class optimism. As the ordered penchant for division increases, paranoia proliferates a thousandfold, and in this constant state of implosion the laughably purposeful complexities of human machinery reveal themselves as a collective sublimation from matter organized under the sign of a smoking gun. The results are immediate and obscure all alternatives. The most miniscule motion portends a proliferation of susceptible affects dancing across an amaranthine fold. I am at that particular, physical, place within the anatomy of doubt where distance has little to do with the movement between two points. The distinctions between objects and their naming is merely the residue immediacy that courses like a doomed circuit all through and around me. A fractured Anima. An Apostate waning. The waves ever shortening. If I do return it will be through no force of my own. This trajectory, always in motion yet doomed never to truly arrive, is irreversible. It cannot be grasped with conventional methodologies, is too large for the faculties of reason, and so remains, a false image, a sublime instance furrowing itself under my skin, like a million tiny drops conspiring to drown me out, a hematoma of my own undoing, merely circulating, breathing shallow breaths, for there no real air left to breathe. I try to resist, but the ephemeral push from this vague center is episodic at best. The directions I receive are constant, but contradictory. No real diagnosis is possible and thus No comfort, few assurances. I know it is only a matter of time. My belief approaches zero, too deeply aware of an answer, altogether void of the appropriate question. I am divided, proliferated, like the a partial vacuum of a Fluorescent light. Discharged, absorbed, re-emitted, and guarded against full exposure, I am protected from myself by a jailer that seems to wear my own face. In the folded illogic of everyday reason, with it’s course geometries and inelegant projections, I am seemingly illuminated by my own image. I am unaccustomed to this light but cannot see without it. Nor can I bring myself to turn it off. Fooled only by qualities insomuch as they indicate not only the direction of my movements, but also their magnitude, I can only assume that momentum as it pertains to my own thoughts, is linear, but often the concepts floating around in my head tell me there is an expiration date on reason, as the clarity of vision relating to thought is fading into a remarkable ineptitude. However, as luck will have it, I have shifted into another sign, leading me to believe that thought can sometimes flip. Into what you ask? I can only answer succinctly once I have established that we are together and that I am not alone. I have conserved all that I am allowed brick by brick. Now it’s your turn.
