Mission Statement
R.A.P Academy; “Music Communication ‘N’ Life Skills” programme uses music as a vehicle to help encourage young people towards education and employment. Our target group consists of children and young people between the ages of 8 to 25. Our focus is on the isolated and disaffected children and young people, our aim is to divert them away from anti social / offending behaviour, and assist them in developing positive social skills, so that they can mature into adulthood and become committed responsible and ambitious, empowered to fulfil their dreams and seek new challenges.
The fundamental aim of the project is not to turn young people into professional musicians, but to help them grasp a sense of purpose and develop a desire to make something of their lives. We realize that a large proportion of children and young people live for music, music is their passion and nothing else excites them like music.
By providing an effective service responsive to local issues, we aim to amend the confidence of communities that are confronted with high crime rate, high drug use and related issues. We provide a preventative service for children and young people at risk, and help disaffected young people on the margins of their communities to improve their stake holding in society and sense of worth.
Youth work is generally undervalued and young people’s achievements unrecognised. There is a need for these achievements and the associated learning to be recognised and accredited.
Thanks for the Add - I am a 14 year old Christian artist (God's Prodigy) that is representing for the Lord. God has given me a gift and I am going to use it to draw as many people as I can to him. Please help me in doing so, Spread The Word of the Lord – We all must die some day, so choose the Lord now while you can. My Goal is to let the teens, both young and old know that it is cool to live for God and the Smart decision to make in life.
