Lors de son passage à La Nouvelle star en 2007, Manu Katché, qui n'était pas le plus tendre en matière de compliments, la disait « digne des plus grandes folkeuses ». Auteur et compositeur, elle a mûri cet album, son premier, avec des collaborations et des emprunts choisis. Damien Pisano (compositeur et guitariste folk) est quasi omniprésent, sauf sur Already Seven et Dobeedobee , deux titres composés par Jackson Mackay et sur « Les maux de mes songes » composé par Thierry Geoffroy. Au folk anglo-saxon des ses aînées qui l'ont inspirée (Alisson Krauss, Carole King, Joan Baez, Eva Cassidy), Raphaëlle apporte sa french touch. Mieux encore, son caractère. Celui d'une femme qui aime la vie. Spontanée, tout en sensualité. Avec cette voix qui caresse l'oreille pour mieux raconter, en français ou en anglais, l'amour, l'enfance, le temps qui passe, les choses simples de l'existence. Une nostalgie teinté de sourire.
