Truly considered a "working band," but do a lot of my shows with the following band members from Los Angeles -lucky me!: Billy Trudel-Vocals (Elton John), Bruce Watson (Sugarland, Jewel), Otis Hayes-drums (The Pretenders) Will Macgregor -Bass (Pretenders), John Thomas-Keyboards (Bruce Hornsby). Have also worked with Kristy Baker-vocals (Stevie Wonder). These are just a few of their many credits!!!

INFLUENCES
I like so many stlyes of music! My list of favorite songs include: Strawberry Fields, Eleanor Rigby and all the Beatles tunes!! Karma Police-Radiohead, Love Bites- Def Leopard, Cold-Crossfade, Yellowbrick Road-Elton John, Mockingbird-Eminem, Unforgiven-Metallica, Like a Boy-Ciara, What Goes Around- Justin Timberlake, Live Your Life- Rhianna, Ms. Independent-Ne-Yo, I Hope You Dance-Lee Ann Womack, Live to Tell-Madonna and the list goes on and on... I'm a sucker for ballads! My song, "Love is on the Way" - is a re-make of the Saigon Kick rock ballad!
Sounds Like
My Journey- long story short :)
I started Shea Records because I wanted to get my music off the ground and needed a way to do so. It has been A LOT of work running the label and being an artist, but I'm a firm believer in making things happen instead of waiting for them to happen. The music industry is extremely challenging and ultra competitive and I have learned so much since I started this whole journey in 2006. My first cd, "Finding My Way" was my first taste of promoting a single etc. We promoted, "Feels Like" on the R & R charts/Billboard charts and reached 28! To me this was an amazing feat since I was competing against major records labels and amazing artists!
"Feels Like" is still playing nationwide on Satelite radio! I performed wherever I could promoting my first cd and was fortunate enough to open for B.B. King at he Dodge Theatre in AZ. What an amazing man he is, and what an honor for me!!
I wrote my second CD "Holding on to Love" with Gardner Cole and Billy Trudel and discovered a whole new world of writing! The songs are personal and really come from my heart. The only cover on the Cd is called, "Love is on the Way" was originally performed by Saigon Kick (for all you Rock fans :). It is a great song and I tried to keep it as close to the original as possible but give it my own feel too.
So, what now?? I wish I knew the answer. I am planning on getting a tour together for 2009 and will continue to work hard, write music and sing when and wherever I can so I can share my music with everyone. I have a great group of people I am surrounded by that are helping me with my music so we will see where this path leads me...to be continued...

In mountain meadows streams run clear The rising flows have their birthplace here. Wisdom and Understanding share their glory To envelope and encompass Knowledge it’s story.
Kindness is always there to rely upon its good And tempered there with Justice in the way it should Be exactly the perfection wonder and Beauty what you see. To relive those flows from above passing into what can be.
Splendor and Victory balance the living Tree Binding in Generation this world of you and and me Now the Kingdom is established once and for all Step inside this vision to hear within the ancient call.
How goodly are your tents oh Jacob indeed Thy revelations each day are all we need And the Eternal One so graciously provides in wonder That good deeds precede blessings as lightning before thunder.
Arise and awake and be whole and always seek good for it will be returned without measure.

Plenty of Duj stuff to talk about, but first things first: R.I.P. Michael Jackson. Quite simply, Dujeous wouldn't exist without him. From D rocking the "Beat It" jacket in third grade to the crowd's reaction when we played "Billy Jean" at a birthday party last Saturday, Mike and his music have been the source of countless good times, good memories and good inspiration for our as long as we can remember. We'll miss him.
THANK YOU! We need to thank all our fans, friends, and supporters for voting our "Break Bread" Video to the No. 1 spot over at IndimusicTV on WLNY Channel 55, which reaches millions of TVs throughout the NYC metro. Last Saturday was the final episode of the show's second season, and they did an interview with the Duj, as well as showing "Break Bread" again. We couldn't have done it without you.
