General	RARE MEDIUM Tuesday, 02.10.09 Lost Souls Cafe 124 W. 4th Street (between Spring and Main) Downtown LA, CA 90013 7-9pm (NEW TIME) Every Second Tuesday of the Month an open space for the synthesis of creative expressions This month's theme will be "synergy". Contributing artists include interactive media installations by: Jinmi Choi hearsee Justin Gier Soundscape provided by: Truthseekas Radio As Lost Souls Cafe transforms into an open studio space to create and work on your craft, we will collectively explore different notions of the monthly theme and offer RARE MEDIUM as the canvas. Each month at RARE MEDIUM your art will be shared and documented, and portions will be preserved online in an attempt to record the process. With the intention that each month's theme builds on the next, we hope what is created every 2nd Tuesday will be an opportunity to synthesize ideas and create an on-going dialogue of universal themes that will continue to reach for a community that inspires collaboration, creativity, and growth. There will also be special give-aways for participants from our friends at Blue Rooster Art Supplies Reach with us, and express yourself. How did you manage to become as devilishly delicious as you are? We love you so much. While waiting for a spider bigger than a dinner plate to bring her sauerkraut and a Mario Lanza record, 77 year old Maggie Peters dreamed of becoming a Braille Translator and a compulsive shopper. Following the discovery and removal of a tiny, almost-perfectly-formed foot from her brain stem, she pursued welding and baked cakes. After a heated discussion with a lemur, it took rescuers - dressed in full regalia as Thor, the hammer-wielding Norse god of thunder - two days to find a phone and order pizza. Police were called.
