Greetings!
I came to NY from a beautiful Russian city called Samara in summer 2005 to practice English and try to make some money in the space of 4 months that I had planned to spend here. But the reality made me change my ways and stay because inspite of all negativity of living in Babylon, there are opportunities, which can help me to do what I got to do. I feel happy and blessed since I found out what that is - reggae. It happened much before I came to America, when in the last year at high school I met my amazing friends in Russia, who introduced me to every kind of music there is in the world including Robert Nesta Marley. He became my father and teacher, inspired me to study English at the university,; and ,honestly, at he moment of making the decision to go back home to all my family and friends or stay in an absolutely alien and unfriendly to me country I was thinking that how can I go back without even seeing Ziggy or Rita... Anyway, the more street experience, the better if you're still alive, so now times are different, like Gyptian's
THESE ARE SOME SERIOUS TIMES!!!
So, now I'm studying and working at the legendary Don 1 Studio in Brooklyn, just recently mentioned in one of hottest Buju's tunes:
Driver, don't stop at all, drop this Arizona round a Albermarle...
Reggae music in all its variations is, first of all, the heart beat, any music has it, so I can feel the connections with other styles which keep on being mixed in all possible ways. Like in Russia, where I heard it for the first time ,they now all they play is old and new reaggae tunes in drum-n-bass or jungle...
But anyway, everything comes back where? to the ROOTS!!!
P.S.: Music soon come, aight?
