ABOUT RASA 9...
Rasa is a sanskrit term that means the ultimate creation that a musician strives for, the ability to create through their art form a venue to touch the inner soul. To get to the root of your emotions, to blend completely through this auditory medium, is to share emotion with the audience. All that you will learn about music strives for this Final destination, where musical notes transcend tonal boundaries and touch centers within the inner-soul.* Navarasa directly refers to the nine emotions expressed from and through music. These nine emotions are the soul of music.
Four different people from completely different backgrounds came together for a common cause... Create music that evokes emotions, changes minds, and expresses truth. Rasa 9 went their own way, choosing the path that instead of jumping out before the time was right, they would record a volume of songs that would effectively introduce them into the universe. A good part of 2006 was spent crafting, recording, and arranging these songs until they were living up to the level by which the band was moved. Now, in 2007, Rasa 9 stands with a full-length album and compelling live show that will soon be available for public consumption. You don't know much now, but you will...
