Ras B Ssali began drama and singing in 1987 at the National Theater in Kampala with friend Solomon Ibona. later joined Diplock segawa and the wrens as dramatists spicing up the shows with mime skits, the art was acquired from Deco a French mime great. we made contact with Utv current UBC TV to act some drama series about HIV/AIDS which had started impacting on the youth. we didnt look back made contact with Afrigo band's Moses Matovu's studio in kibuli a surburb were i grew up seeing moses matovu perform with the afrigo band. we recorded our first song titled 'IMMORALITY' in 1991.
1992 was a good year, a friend gave us 1000usd, we traveled to Nairobi, Kenya and recorded a full album at Andrew Crawford studios titled 'peace in the world' appreciating reggae was no were in uganda that the album sold 6000 copies only.
1996, we turned back to Afrigo studios and released Mweddemu album which sold around 10,000 copies. as 'bloodbrothers band', we tried our level best to prosper but Babylon was overruling.
In 2000 i released a track 'Namagalo' which captured peoples ears and number one slot on some fm radio stations like Simba FM, Radio One, Cbs fm.
That Reggae music theme nights are every where, in Nights club, bars, Radio stations, Tv stations, souls have been uprooted from darkness.
