I was born in Hanover Jamaica and leave at the age of seventeen to join my parents in Birmingham England. 1981 I left Birmingham to live in London with my Rastafari uncle Nyha where I help him to run his Rasta Church "Triumphant reign To Zion" There I n I teach youths of RasTafari way of life, chant and give thanks and praises to Haile Selassie 1.
This is where my hands on musical life started. A few years later I team up with my cousins and form band "Circle Seven" where I played bass guitar. WE play in Gigs all over London colleges. University of North London was one of the venues. We played in parks. Finsbury Park Festival we played on same stage wih Denis Brown.
The members of the band all went to do the own thing and I went to record my first song "Flexability" in 1993. Ras Lawi played in various venues in London for two years. 1995 birth the youth group RasItes my son is the drumer. I spent most of my time taking them around and making things good for them. They now grow up so I get some time to do some performance for myself. I'm now recording my debut album and also recording "Fire Ingels" my three youngest children.
November- December 2006 I toured with Iqulah, Omar Perry, Abisynians and Kymani Marley on Coronation World Tour. I played percussion as part of "Gideon Force" and open some of the shows with "Flexability". This summer I'll be on tour with Iqulah and Original Spears playing percussion as part of "Giddeon Force". I am also on a UK tour with Rightrack with Jimi Lyons and Barry Dread where we perform our individual songs and support each other.
