Dwight Moore AKA Rasmel AUTO-BIOGAPHY Rasmel born Dwight Moore to parents Mr and Mrs. Lance and Vidora Moore; in Port Maria, St. Mary Jamaica on March 23, 1976. He now resides in Annotto Bay of that said parish. Dwight is a past student of the Annotto Bay All-Age, Titchfield High School and The Adams Catering School. Apart from his love for music, he spends his time reading and is actively involved in his favourite sports 'football' and is a player of the St.George's United Football Club in Portland. His alias Rasmel originated from a close friend when he was on his journey to rastafarism. Although Rasmel was not from a musical background; his association with friends that loved music made him grew to love it too. He began making tunes for himself at age twelve (12), his inspiration was Peter Tosh 'Down Presso man' and also Buju Banton was a source of great inspiration for him. At this age his curiousity and interest in Reggae music made him sneak out to dances; he said "Mi come out with a bag like a homework mi a go do and a little shorts". By age seventeen (17), he really wanted to pursue music however, due to his catering job; music was put aside but around 1997 he did it occassionally. Rasmel writes his own lyrics and made it clear "mi nuh specialize in any area of music, mi sing fi everybody". His exposure or experiences includes appearances on several stage shows such as St. Mary Agricultural East Fest show and several community shows in Portland and St. Mary. Rasmel and Wayne Clarke a.k.a 'Blacks' founder and Managing Director of Mafia Linkz Proudction knew each other while growing up; after several years not residing in Jamaica, Wayne returned to the island, heard Rasmel singing and told him that he was talented; therefore, in 2006 Wayne decided to play a key role in his musical career by recording Rasmel, who is presently being produced and promoted by Mafia Linkz Production
