Nothing you've ever heard before....Believe us! For the sake of arguement, how 'bout Celtic Frost meets black sabbath meets Beastie Boys meets Ministry meets Danzig meets Tom Waits meets acid house meets alice cooper meets a lil' David Bowie with a dash of P-Funk thrown in! We're crazy and weird and loveable folks...Management hates us, publicists are stupified and labels don't know what to think of us...You ain't heard nuthin' like it 'round here!
Tampa-based doom-metallers Peasants of Posture is diligently writing and rehearsing material for Foolin’ at the World, the much-anticipated follow-up to the 2006 debut CounterRevolution.
“It’s gonna be really heavy,” says Quincy B. Scovill, writer, performer, producer, and lead vocalist (Yes, Quincy is really POP vocalist Thomas Rasputin, folks!). “We love heavy music. I mean, Tampa is known for heavy, gut-crunching metal,” he excitedly adds, mentioning DEATH, MASSACRE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, MORBID ANGEL, and, of course, OBITUARY.
Scovill is no stranger to musical success. POP’s aformentioned 2007 debut was released on Bay Area independent label Mad Monk, LTD and four different songs were placed on the Official ballot in four different categories by the National Academy of recording Arts & Sciences for the 2008 Grammy Awards. The categories were as follows:

The following year, Mad Monk funk metallers Scovill Avenue’s debut CD Big House was placed on the 2009 Grammy ballot in seven different categories, including the coveted first three categories “Record of the Year,” “Album of the Year,” and “Song of the Year.” Mad monk dance pop duo Beatnik Castle featuring Francillia is currently riding high on the worldwide success of 2009 CD maxi-single “Will U B Mine?” – a high energy dance/pop tune placed in Grammy Category 12 for “Best Dance Recording” last year.
Quincy B and Mad Monk have many lucrative musical plans for next year. Francillia’s solo CD Temptation, POP’s Foolin’ at the World, and Blind Granny’s My Head is Spinning are slated for release in 2010.

The strange but ethereal world of Tampa, Fl’s industrial-doom rockers Peasants of Posture presents an ethereal blend of talents from seasoned musicians with a penchant for hard-driving musical anomalies and cosmic lyrical prowess. Peasants of Posture intertwine the dark, foreboding imagery of grindcore, funkadelic, metal, rap, r & b, and industrial to create a nomenclature of originality, pitchblending doom, and aggregate, nondescript swaddle.
The moniker is derivative of two words when blended represent the oppressed valiantly attempting to “posture” themselves atop conformity with the bourgeois musical nobility.
Peasants of Posture (POP for short) is the quintessential industrial-strength rock grunge - the alluring existentialism of alternative and, most surprisingly, well-delivered swing of contemporary underground altruism. POP’s blend of old school riffs and harmonies with modern-day gristle and power. According to many devoted worldwide underground moguls who’ve already been exposed, POP’s is the perfect blend of originality and creativity transcending all musical genres with the “right ingredients of morbidity, enlightenment, humor and hardcore sustenance”.
Peasants of Posture’s core members include drummer Alexiev “Nikolai” Tsarevich, Guitarist “Prince” Felix I. Yussopov, the always-beautiful bassist Anastasia V. Romanov and, of course, the enigmatic and mysterious songwriter/vocalist team of Thomas Efimovich Rasputin (aka Quincy B. Scovill) and Beatnik Castle lead singer/songwriter Francillia!
“It’s a heavy cd, that’s for sure,” explains bassist Anastasia V. Romanov. “Everybody who hears it really digs it. Metal heads dig it, industrial fans dig it…hip-hop people dig it, too. We’re different…that’s our signature”
Other musical guests and friends that appeared on CounterRevolution and will probably return for Foolin’ include New Jersey-based musicians Hal “Bennie” Selzer (seasoned bassist for LUXX, SILENT WITNESS, ADRIAN DODZ and Gary “U.S.” Bonds) and veteran guitarist/producer Steve “D” DeAcutis (ACARA, COREY GLOVER, PROPHET, SHOTGUN SYMPHONY, INTRUDER), and current owner of Sound Spa Recording and Productions in New Jersey, “Berkley” Bobby Koelbe (DEATH, Junkie Rush), veteran drummer Billy Orrico (FRICTION), guitarists Freddie DeMarco, Jody Grey (WizeGuyz) and, of course, local folk talents Lorna Bracewell, Jeremy Gloff, Adianne Gonzalez, and musical friend Jeremy Thomas from Basic Rock Outfit.
“We aim to please and simultaneously scare the heck out of you,” admits vocalist Thomas E. Rasputin. Much like the peasants of 19th Century Europe, POP is prepared to wield battle-drawn swords and commence the musical revolution – or, more appropriately, a true CounterRevolution!!
