To arms, then, all of you! all of you! And the oppressors and the mighty shall disappear like dust. You, too, women, cast away all the cowards from your embraces; they will give you only cowards for children, and you who are the daughters of the land of beauty must bear children who are noble and brave. Let timid doctrinaires depart from among us to carry their servility and their miserable fears elsewhere. This people is its own master. It wishes to be the brother of other peoples, but to look on the insolent with a proud glance, not to grovel before them imploring its own freedom. It will no longer follow in the trail of men whose hearts are foul. No! No! No!
Brien not sure if you remember me or not from your Whole Sick Crew Days but I was the long dreaded hair one who came to many of your shows. I moved away from the midwest and now reside very close to Portland Oregon. I have still been listening to your music for these last few years and hope to check out the Rats and People cd soon in fact I think I am going to order it soon. I am glad we talked a bit and sent emails back and forth but I have to tell you yours, Matt's and Beth's Music you played live will always hold a place in my heart. I seriously hope you see this and send me something if you get the time.
We'd like to introduce you to our live-ness. Expect dark dance-rock songs with lots of 'did he just say that?' moments... We're playing for Playback: STL this Tuesday the 4th at Cicero's - with The Maxtone Four and Cameron Matthews.
