Rattlemouth is - Danny Finney: Saxophones Robbie Kinter: Drums Marc S. Langelier: Bass George Lowe
: Guitar
Rattlemouth is an exhilarating and movement-inspiring quartet from Richmond, Virginia. Comprised of original members Danny Finney (saxophones) and Robbie Kinter (drums), with Marc S. Langelier (bass), and George M. Lowe (guitar), their music is lush, intricate, exotic, and irresistibly danceable. Having emerged from the ashes of the legendary Orthotonics, Rattlemouth have advanced to become Richmond’s pre-eminent eclectic and world-music based ensemble, thrilling area audiences with their “musical gymnastics for the body and spirit.” Their live shows feature selections from their recordings “Walking A Full Moon Dog,” “Fist Full Of Iffy” (both on the Cuneiform label), and their exciting new release, “Hopabout,” as well as mesmerizing renditions of beloved tunes from Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Lebanon, and elsewhere. In addition, Rattlemouth composes and performs music for Modern Dance and Film, including works commissioned by the VCU School Of The Arts, the University Of Richmond, and the Starr Foster Dance Project.
Whether onstage in a club, in an art gallery, at a private party or “in the pit” providing live accompaniment for a performance of Modern Dance, Rattlemouth never fails to please.

A Benefit For Bryan Hoffa
Sound of Music Engineer, Producer, and Musician Bryan Hoffa was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a serious but curable disease in which the immune system attacks the myelin sheath surrounding the spinal cord. As a result, the nervous system is short-circuited and varying levels of paralysis effect the body. Thankfully Bryan is now in recovery but it involves months of physical therapy and a long time away from work.
Some of Richmond's finest musicians have donated their time and talents to help the Hoffa family during this difficult time. All proceeds from this show will go to their daily living expenses.
