Remember doing things just for fun? That is what Rattlesnake Shake is all about.
The members of this Portsmouth, New Hampshire band first came together in 2002. That year, and each year since, they have rehearsed for and performed at their Annual BYOI (Bring Your Own Instrument) Party to raise funds for young people to start making music. In 2006, they decided to make music all year long, and Rattlesnake Shake was born.
The playlist of Rattlesnake Shake includes songs from the past and present, some familiar and some quite obscure. With the varied musical influences of each of it's members, an evening with Rattlesnake Shake might include some Bonnie Raitt, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, KC & the Sunshine Band, The Sex Pistols, and toss in some Nancy Sinatra for good measure.
The Shake's original material is just as entertaining. From the dark images of RISING TIDE to the love-a-bye tune THE BEAUTIFUL ONE, you'll enjoy every note and lyric.
Rattlesnake Shake is in it for the fun of it. And it shows!
