El cantautor y compositor ecuatoriano Raúl Cárdenas, empezó oficialmente su carrera artística en el 2005 como vocalista principal en el grupo “Sin Licencia”, interpretando canciones de artistas tales como: Jarabe de Palo, Obie Bermúdez, Mana, entre otros. En el 2006 junto con Luis Henao (de origen colombiano) decidieron formar el grupo 2xcess, con el cual fueron los teloneros de Carolina la O (artista colombiana/Universal Latino) en el concurso de belleza “Miss Hamptons Latina 2006” despertando gran interés a nivel local. 2xcess hasta el día de hoy sigue intacto trabajando en varios proyectos, pero al mismo tiempo, Raúl Cárdenas decidió lanzar su carrera como solista, y es así en el 2007, donde atrajo la atención local, siendo una de las principales atracciones en eventos de belleza (Lu Berry Swimwear Fashion Show, Verano/2007) y en varios clubs locales por varias ocasiones. Hoy por hoy, Raúl Cárdenas se encuentra totalmente enfocado en sus proyectos musicales, y personalmente se ha impuesto metas muy ambiciosas, las cuales a base de consistencia, perseverancia, sacrificio, y entrega, esta totalmente dispuesto a conseguir. Una de las metas del joven artista, es llevar su carrera a otro nivel, y es así como también ha decidido perfeccionar su habilidad vocal al hacer de la música, parte de sus estudios universitarios. Cuando se le pregunta acerca de sus influencias, Raúl Cárdenas podría nombrar un sin numero de artistas, tanto de origen latino como anglo (Luis Fonsi, Frankie J, Sin Bandera, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Robin Thicke, etc.) Pero sus dos mayores inspiraciones han sido los productores/raperos Pharrell Williams y Kanye West. Lo que le inspira a Raúl es la independencia de estas dos súper estrellas, ya que ellos crean su propia música, la interpretan, e incluso producen para otros artistas. Es así como Raúl Cárdenas no descarta la posibilidad de estrenarse como productor en un futuro no muy lejano. Su carisma, su voz, y su buena presencia en el escenario han dado mucho de que hablar, y ese es el motivo esencial por el cual este joven talento está dispuesto a entregar lo mejor de si mismo a través de lo que él más ama, la música.

The Ecuadorian songwriter and composer Raul Cardenas, officially started his artistic career in 2005 as the lead vocalist of the band “Sin Licencia”, interpreting cover songs from artist such as: Jarabe de Palo, Obie Bermudez, Mana amongst others. Today Raul Cardenas is totally focused in his musical projects and has imposed various ambitious goals on himself, which he plans to achieve through consistency, perseverance, sacrifice and devotion. One of the goals of this young artist is to bring his career to another level, and for such reason he has decided to perfect his vocal skills by making music a part of his college studies. When asked about his musical influences, Raul Cardenas could name numerous Latino and American artist (Luis Fonsi, Frankie J, Sin Bandera, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Robin Thicke, etc). However his two major influences are the rapper-producers Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. What inspires Raul is the independence of these super stars because they make and sing their own music and produce it for other artist. For such reason this up-and-coming artist does not rule out the possibility of becoming a producer in a near future. His charisma, voice and good presence on stage have been the talk of many and that is why Raul Cardenas is eager to give the best of himself through what he loves, music.
