About me:
Raul Salinas is a former veteran FBI special agent from Laredo, Texas. He served 27 years as an FBI agent. Mr. Salinas has also worked closely with officials on both sides of the border. He also has a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and has an FCC broadcaster's license. Salinas, was originally from Alice, moved to Laredo in 1988 when he was transferred as a special agent from Washington, D.C. Raul G. Salinas is 58 years old, he came from very humble beginnings. His parents lived in poverty and were poor, he had to work at a very young age to bring food to the table. Salinas was a paperboy at the age of 10, and used to walk around barefoot because they didn't have enough money for shoes. Salinas is now a private investigator and is married to Dora Salinas. He has a stepdaughter, Claudine Viera; a son, Michael Salinas; and two grandchildren, Arnold and Zachary Viera. Mr. Salinas hopes that the people of Laredo will give him a chance to be their Mayor and served them with their needs. His campaign is focused on a variety of issues, including making Laredo safer, bringing bigger businesses to the city and addressing the current water issues the city is facing. Raul Salinas is a man without political alliances and without political ties.
